Victorian Govt will fund the gap between what was raised last year and what is raised this year.

The coverage finished with that announcement.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced that the State Government will donate the difference between last years total and this years total

What are your thoughts on this year’s coverage? I know that it was restricted quite a bit this year due to the coronavirus, but just keen to know what you all thought of it. :grinning:

Think it was good that even though the traditional all-day (though Seven unfortunately cut that back last year) telethon couldn’t be conducted, the special provided a platform for the typical patient/doctor stories to still be shown

This year’s appeal ended just after 10pm AEST and we have a new record total raised, thanks to the Victorian Government’s offer to top up the donation.

$18,175,467.

The house was eventually sold and raised $790,500, said Villawood Properties executive director Rory Costelloe. The 2021 charity house is currently under construction at Wollert in Melbourne’s outer north, and will be auctioned on April 2.
