A look at the current state of Religious broadcasting and religious affairs on free-to-air television.

What happened to Kenneth Copeland? Was in the 4am slot on Nine.

Happy to be wrong (I don’t watch religious programming) but I thought Nine’s main channel has programming in the early hours on Sunday before the ACA repeat?

Isn’t there enough pollution over the airwaves without religious programs. :slightly_smiling_face:

My old Church Religion the Jehovah’s Witnesses have their own Broadcasting App but they don’t have Airtime on Australian TV yet, The Mormons Latter day Saints might have an Online App.Does any Religion have “The Truth” these days?

I saw that but I couldn’t work out which denomination it was and looking at content it was just spruiking charities to donate to. Do you think it’s linked to a church and proselytising for them?

Anyone remember the old NRTV show Medication Meditation? Old biddies closer to meeting Jesus than they are singing about Jesus.

There used to be quotas for Religious Programs many years ago.

I assume once the quotas stopped, Seven stopped showing these programs also?

Or the minisries stopped paying.

Yes I could’t find anything on Seven’s tv guide.

There’s also SBN on 10’s regional sub-channels. 24/7 televangelism from the late Jimmy Swaggart’s family.

And of-course, GOOD. On Foxtel/BINGE and Fetch.

Plus: Instal-Life, which is like Foxtel for Christian TV: mychristiantv.com.au

All the religious programs are Christian based, for balance they need a Muslim , Buddhist and some jedi shows.

No, I don’t want to Instal(l)-Life. Too many GOD TV channels.

Won’t be happening on terrestial TV. Online you can go nuts with all the Muslim, Buddisist, Hindu, Jewish, Jedi, Flying Spaghetti Monster, ECC-Worship shows you like.

My religion is Manchester United and Melbourne Football Club! Watch United on Stan and MFC on Kayo. Two great religious streamers. Sorry if I offend any religious persons but to me this is as useless a topic as those on shopping channels. IMO many of today’s world problems are caused by religions (of all kinds) and we don’t need more on TV.
