Regional Radio Ratings

This is the 10th survey for Mackay, and of note, this survey marks:
Largest share and first #1 for Triple M
Largest share for 4MK, ABC National and for “Others”
Smallest share for ABC Local and Triple J.
Despite the drop, Star was lower during the first three surveys of the market.

Today, we’re off to Maryborough:

Triple M took the top spot with 27.5% (+5.7 from 2023), followed closely by Hit with 26.6% (-2.8). ABC Wide Bay rated 3rd with 13% (+0.8).

In the demos, Hit is #1 in the under-55s, with Triple M dominating in the 55-64s, and ABC Wide Bay topping the 65+.

In breakfast, Hit’s Jess & Rohan from Newcastle rated 30.7% (-1.3 from when it was Cliffo & Bronte from Townsville), followed by Triple M’s Blandy with 28.7% (+6.4), and ABC Wide Bay’s David Dowsett with 13.8% (+0.9). In drive, Hit’s Carrie & Tommy won with 29.3% (-7.1), followed by Triple M’s Rush Hour with 26.1% (+3.7).

The “Other Stations” share this survey is at 24.2%, down 1.6 from 2023. Much of that “Other” share would be towards Rebel & Breeze, as well as Zinc from Gympie.

And also the Fraser Coast FM community station.

I do hear Breeze up there quite a lot and I noticed quite a few ads from Maryborough and Hervey Bay

Might be also time they renamed the LAP from Maryborough to Fraser Coast too, as Hervey Bay is about 3 times bigger than Maryborough these days.

Yes, from 2024 until the middle of last month. During the last Maryborough survey in 2023, Hit in Regional QLD was receiving Cliffo & Bronte from Townsville, which lasted until the end of that year.
