Ratings: The Voice and MasterChef top Tuesday viewing; Nine wins overall

The contest between The Voice and MasterChef , saw 10’s cooking show close the gap on Nine’s singing comp, with both programs recording 926,000 after time adjustments.

Meanwhile, on Seven, House Rules recorded the show’s lowest ever rating of any season.

Otherwise, network shares for last night were remarkably similar to the previous Tuesday with Nine again coming out on top. The network had a rare win in all markets as well as winning the 25-54 and 18-49 demographic groups. 10 took out the 16-39 age bracket.

Nine’s share of the 25-54 demographic group was 30.7%, while 10 had 26.6%, Seven 22.5%, ABC 13.1% and SBS 7.1%.

In 16-39 age group, 10 came out on top with 30.7%. Nine was second on 27.5% ahead of Seven 21,7%, ABC 12.6% and SBS 7.4%.

The top rated shows were again news with Seven maintaining its lead while Nine’s bulletin lost some ground yesterday.

How To Stay Married was up slightly, with it best result in the 16-39 demo group where it ranked sixth. The second part of Whitney: Can I Be Me? on Nine had 360,000 while the Seven’s Criminal Minds season 15 got off to a poor start with 272,000 while Absentia saw just 134,000 tune in. Nine’s Late Edition News did well with 236,000.

ABC’s line up did well, up slightly from the previous week. Over on SBS Who Do You Think You Are? averaged 319,000.

There were some higher than normal daytime news results with coverage from the US.
