Where in the existing threads would they be located

That reminds me, when I was in the USA in 1996, there was a Channel 7 over there (in the south eastern states i think) whose logo looked very much like the Australian circular one from the 90s (below).

Sadly, I don’t recall exactly where I saw this or what network affiliation they had. I don’t think this was widely used there as i only saw it in one town.

Thanks! That’s probably it!

It looks only slightly different to the Australian one… The “Seven” looks a bit chunkier… I wonder who is copying who here…

From 2019 to 2021, Malaysian channel NTV7’s news program used a logo similar to that of Seven’s ‘Red 7’ logo.

Well, who was first? Does anyone know when that logo first appeared in the US?

Here is the original upload of that promo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41UyUUh0ap4 not the re-upload that has far worse video and audio quality, they seem to rip and re-upload from everyone.

he’s not listed in the credits, but is that a young Terry Donovan (Jason’s dad) at 9:32?

It does look like him.

it looks very much like him but the uploader of that video suggests otherwise:

I don’t think so. It may be a singer called Peter Langdon who was a regular on the show or someone else entirely.

I wonder why the 3D test transmissions did not become a full-time channel. 3D TV was seen as the next big thing during the early 2010s.

Not enough content, interest, compatibility. use for it.

3DTV is the TV equivalent of what DAT was to audio.

There was a good push for it, but even at the time I said it was a fad and that is how it turned out. The only real benefit IMO was the revenue push generated from it for broadcasters in particular Nine.

DATs had a lot of industry use though.

AM Stereo to radio would be better? :stuck_out_tongue:
