I agree. They don’t even realise they’ve gone backwards in sound quality.
No, not at all. Both Rebel and Breeze have local feeds in Wide Bay. It’s all Maryborough, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay ads there, and local weather etc. They sound more local that Triple M and Hit most of the time.
That was a post i made 8 years ago, yes, I know that now since my more recent travels.
I agree, they did sound more local than Triple M did up in the Wide Bay.
Lol I don’t know what happened there.
Some with personality radio outside AM drive
some - same. damn autocarot
Re S39 FM licences, most are somewhat self explanatory… but a few I’ve never really understood
2WZD 93.1 Wagga Wagga - a vague reference to Wagga, but the ZD part has me baffled.
2WSK 94.9 Nowra - no idea
2ICE 107.9 Lithgow - a vague weather reference being on the Tablelands?
2SNO 93.5 Goulburn - another vague weather one?
Yeah, why SNOW FM is 2SKI while 2SNO is a different station makes no sense.
Wollongong/Shellharbour/Kiama?
I suppose they technically aren’t a Wollongong station, but it’s the most obvious W.
Without mentioning main towns in their licence area like Nowra?
Who knows…
here u go…
It very rarely snows in Goulburn in any case. 2FRO (frost) would have been a better choice.
4RUM in Bundaberg is a pretty good one.
Now I’m thirsty!
2FRO (frost) would have been a better choice.
2CLD (too cold) would have been my choice
2NEB Armidale FM100.3 (New England Broadcasters)
2VLY Power Fm Muswellbrook (Vly for Hunter Valley)
2NOW (North Of West)
Yes, they are some of the more self explanatory ones I alluded to. Like
2MVB Taree 107.3 - Manning Valley Broadcasters
2CLR Grafton 104.7 - Clarence Radio
There were a lot of 4RGx (originally RG Capital stations) where the last letter (x) related to the region eg. 4RGB Bundaberg.
Is there a 2HOT? Maybe somewhere up north or out west?
That used to be a community radio station in Cobar… on 102.9… no longer on air
There’s 2DRY in Broken Hill, 2OLD in Lake Macquarie and 2WET in Kempsey.
