Random Radio

pretty much all of them, but I think 2SM does stream online although they are not on RadioApp or iHeart Radio.

Flow FM used to stream until that dispute over music royalties or whatever it was that shut down many streams for a while, its never returned since, instead you get this page if you search for their stream https://www.flowfm.com.au/listen

Which is a real shame because some of their stations have a good mix of music: ZZZ Lismore, New FM, FUN, Gorilla, Dance, Zoo and it would be good to be able to listen to them online or streaming on the RadioApp.

Agree, and outside of networked shifts, i think they have localised playlists too.

A refreshing change from the formulised logs of SCA and ARN regionals.

In fairness, I think the playlists on the SCA stations are the best they have ever been. It’s no longer just a safe mix of Soft-AC on the Hit/today network like it used to be. Their DAB stations are sounding great too.

Agree. I’d love to stream ZZZ-FM and NewFM online.

I remember a few years back even 4AK was streaming online.

Hopefully one day.

A lady at work I was working with today listens to Nova every day.
Not only did I have to put up with all the Yap,yap, yap this morning, also hearing the same songs every 3 hours👎
And Bloody Frank Walker from National Tiles ad👎

Frank Walker the best thing on Nova

I reckon Frank Walker’s National Tiles ads air on most commercial stations in Melbourne, AM and FM.

Are they notably just on Nova in Brisbane?

I’ve also heard his ads on B105,Triple M,KIIS 97.3 and 4KQ (now SENQ 693)

I don’t know what radio ad is more annoying,Frank Walker and his National Tiles or Crimsafe,”Hi it’s Kimmy’s Dad”the Crimsafe ad I only heard on 97.3 and the station formerly known as 4KQ😕Both of these ads are annoying

Frank Walker is an institution. His ads may be annoying, but that’s their genius. The fact that we’re still talking about them is testament to that.

More annoying to my ears is the generic gibberish of a Harvey Norman ad.

The JB Hi-fi ads were also iconic, you never forget the voice from those ads on radio and TV.

Reminiscent of “Ken Bruce has gone mad, Ken Bruce has gone mad, Ken Bruce has gone mad…”

You’re lucky you don’t get the Wynstan with a Y ads for Wynstan Blinds.

Yeah that one is annoying, but again we’re talking about it and everyone knows it, and that means it’s a raging success.

Don’t know that one

Something about blind company ads. The Blind Factory ads on 3AW are eccentric too.
