A rough idea of the new-look 7NEWS studio, but here’s your first look at what it could look like.
It’ll be real at some point. This is just a rough version of the new-look 7NEWS Tasmania studio.

Honestly, based on the current set below all they’d really need to change is the desk graphic and backdrop, switch the side lights from blue to red and the frosted perspex lights from soft blue to stark white.
I did borrow your title card mock for the desk, it would be nice to see them install a larger graphic. I’m not quite talented enough to change the soft blue lighting, though.
While I’m at it, here’s some more intros, from the Spencer Gulf, Wollongong, Ballarat and Canberra.
Shame Canberra’s not getting a proper hour-long metro-like bulletin, but hopefully the Spencer Gulf will see the return of a half-hour local news bulletin produced by Seven, even if it is shafted to 7two once again.
Especially at the moment with the north south divide ignited further by the stadium debate by the politicians. ![]()
They could go slightly more generic but still Tasmanian with something like Cradle Mountain or have it change but that’s unlikely. Similar to how they do it currently with the return from breaks as 7 has with all the suburbs and towns but on the sport one they also have Bellerive Oval, York Park and West Park in Burnie on a rotation to keep the state happy.
I can’t see them using the polluted city backdrop though for Tasmania.
After being reminded of the north-south divide, plus their current use of the old national backdrop, I thought it would be a safer option. ![]()
Live from Tunbridge…Its 7News..
HA!
Tasmanian’s reading this will understand that tunbridge reference.
“Live from Liawenee”
We all know Murph’s feelings on Liawenee! Wrong thread but hope the mood at SCA Tas is better with this new future.
Tried my hand at making some Imparja watermarks/on-air logos if they actually had a joint Imparja-Nine one under the new logo. A couple WWOS logos may be reminiscent of Mappy, so… prepare your eyeballs.
The sponsor boards and PRGs are made from scratch using Nine’s own as reference.
The Nine dots used in these line up with the actual ones used on-air with the Nine logo.
Some more using the logo… had to find every touchpoint unlike Nine - 3D dotty still on sponsor billboards
I believe for sport they used to have a watermark below the wwos logo before they moved playout to mediahub. Then they changed it to a coverup like WIN.
no, it will just refer to Tasmania, not Launceston or Hobart.
Maybe use a Canberra image that’s not Parliament house, like a local landmark?
Hi, everyone! Do you remember the Choose campaign that Channel 9 put out in 2009? It was short lived, but I recreated their campaign, also containing with Nine News, the affiliates Win Television. And NBN, too… and I also created mocks for the Channel Nine stations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Darwin… and I’m also Got 4:3 versions as well! (1)
I managed to unearth this old MSpy account of mine that I had not visited since 2022 ish? God i was younger back then haha my posting habits were so different, went from mobile to desktop editing in a span of 3 yrs.
I come back with this rather unusually bland-ish ABC News 2017 - 2024 (how short, unfortunately) intro mock, at least leading into the news broadcast/studio, the first sequence after the presenter talks is so difficult to do so I’ll revisit that soon.
If it won’t embed correctly, proceed to the streamable link if you want to watch!
