There is no brand equity in CBS in Australia.
I can’t even imagine Paramount Global execs would want to expand cbs to Australia - and any market research would find a lot of brave equity in 10 and none - plus a resistance- to cbs taking over the 10 brand in Australia
This is the random mocks section, I don’t think anyone genuinely thinks there is any intention to roll out the CBS brand locally - it’s all hypothetical.
I think the Eye logo has potential for local integration. CBS doesn’t really mean anything here but both ‘[Eye logo]10 News’ together could cross reference 10’s international resources and reference back to Eyewitness.
I’d even make it [Eye logo]10 News Melbourne, [Eye logo]10 News Sydney etc.
Just a thought if anyone wants to have fun with some mocks…
They changed the 10 logo to the ugly one they use now when they didn’t need to at all the existing logo was fine so I hope not.
Honestly, this discussion feels like it’s 2017 all over again… (as for examples)
To be fair, that time period I recall CBS Corp making a holding company specifically for the acquisition that involved both CBS and Ten’s names. (I cannot for the life of me remember it.)
Whatever happened to Random Mocks
Already better than the current logo that Gold 101.7 is using, and fits the network much better!
Looks awesome. I’d probably just tint the gradient a little bit darker because the white text can get a bit lost in the background, but that does look so much better otherwise.
Um, WSFM? You know that brand will be deceased on FM after January 2025.
And besides, the new logos from ARN do not include that of WSFM, the existing logos (with the nice Gold colour instead of a new yucky yellow) will remain until the new year when they officially give themselves a major makeover, and along with that, the death of WSFM and the birth of Gold101.7 into Sydney.
This is the Random Mock thread. MichaelPower can mock a gold WSFM logo if he likes even if it’s Gold 101.7 from January.
Oh alright then, thanks for that.
It’s ironic because 96FM used to have a guitar pick in their logo.
