We do things differently in Billybobland. Nevertheless, looks like I won’t be repeating the exercise. I did give the appropriate warnings on air.
That will probably be the last NYE show for me in any case, getting too old for this!

Yeah, and I wouldn’t really want to be doing the 50km drive in the middle of the night back to Bungendore either, particularly on NYEs when you don’t know how many drunk drivers are around.
More the wildlife…hardly a car on the road. Lots of foxes though!
Agree with you & @Brianc68, any Jet song is concerning. I wondered if it’s how they they make quota for Australian music?
They should be playing new Australian music after drive when the audience declines to dinner/tv/streaming.
Very light on or no NZ artists?
Triple M does after but only after 10pm with “Homegrown”.

It was at this stage where I promptly fell asleep, which wasn’t a shock given I was on 5AM work shifts that week. I was planning to go to just beyond midnight (2AM Qld Time).
Nice little safe mix for a ‘Good times, greatest hits’ broadcaster.
Lee Kuan Yew would love this station. Singapore, where you couldn’t chew gum or have long hair. And One FM ensures compliance amongst its listenership with this:

Some good songs there, but some I don’t really know. But gives me some to sample and buy on iTunes if i like them.
At first i thought, oh no, here we go! But I reckon i’d be pretty happy with a bit of a splash as a party mix.
Pretty much every song is a singalong. I particularly liked Jewel and Manfred Mann! Both great tracks, but I’d forgotten about then so added to my spotify.
So thankyou for the splash.

Noice! I had a feeling the Mavis’s were going to get a run this week… I did wonder if Cats Under Pressure would make an appearance, but a decent quality recording is probably going to be hard to find (other than a YT rip).
Ah, I see what you did there!
Well and truly worth listening to the show just for this absolute banger. What a great way to come out of the Beatles covers. Buffalo stance is a true JJJ classic. Never really charted over here (only made it to #21) but is still a favorite on rage.
Nice one!
Believe it or not, I had that picked out before that discussion on here!
