Has Radio Blue Mts 89.1 ceased RDS transmissions?
I haven’t detected RDS or seen their RDS subcarrier for a long while.
Juice 107.3 has commenced RDS sometime in the past day.
Has date and time data. Although is off by 2 hours (set the above radios clock to 22:37 @ 19:55
Radio Text appears to have song name info plus “The Gold Coasts Good Tasting Radio Station” (I’m guessing we eat our radios now, I didn’t know plastic tasted good) then it corrects its self to “taste” on another alternate.
PTY is set to pop music which is confusing considering it’s a religious station. My thoughts is it should be set to “Religious” but who knows. If someone could log it into the spreadsheet it won’t let me edit. Thanks
2BACR 100.9 has switched their RDS back on.
I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it in this thread yet, but 2OOO has RDS now, although it was just broadcasting silence when I tuned in:
And the recently reactivated BACR1009 RDS:
Station name info has disappeared on FBI 94.5 in Sydney.
Not sure how long it’s been like this for.
Meanwhile, WSFM’s subtext is STILL #stayathome. I think it’s time for them to revert back to the usual song/weather info since NSW residents are now allowed to leave home for non essential reasons. I suspect however WS won’t change it until travel bans within the state are lifted on 1 June.
Indeed it has. Was there a couple of days ago.
No RDS subcarrier detected. Will keep an eye on that.
That sure seams logical
BTW Radio Blue Mountains 89.1 recently reactivated their RDS or at least I’m now receiving it again in recent times.
FBi RDS back on this evening.
BTW @Radiohead WS-FM seams to have restored their usual RDS RT.
Must be RDS restoral day; 100.9 2BCR is back with RDS. Odds on bet it will disappear again tomorrow or by Monday.

Must be RDS restoral day;
Happy RDS restoral day (May 22)
Bay939 Geelong have changed their RDS to “BayFM”
They changed their name from BayFM to Bay939 a few years ago (I think before they got RDS) so I’m not really sure why they’ve changed it.
Bit of a strange one. Triple J on the Sunshine Coast doesn’t have RDS. But when I was on the Sunshine Coast and it hit my Triple J preset, it knew and automatically returned to 89.5. How can that happen if 89.5 has no RDS?
Triple J Brisbane could have 89.5 listed as an alternative frequency?
Possibly. But I assumed that the alternative frequency would require RDS too?

Could the AFs be stored with the RDS name? I would be surprised if most devices saved more than just the name.
I can’t see any AF’s on triple j Brisbane
I can easily see the AF on 96.1 for Zinc’s Noosa translator 100.5.
94.5 FBi has lost its RDS again…
We need the other FBI to get to the bottom of it.
Seems Triple M Mid North Coast (100.7) has dispensed with the MMM MNC RDS name and gone with the generic ‘Triple M’ station name…

I would say since BA are looking after transmission they’ve got around to standardising the RDS on most of SCA’s regional sites.
I thought it would be up to the station/network themselves to determine what that should be?

Yes, but BA is implementing the changes…
