Indeed it was. Great observation. Not sure when this happened. They didn’t have their RDS active on Thursday. I’ll update in our RDS list.
LPON detected at Nelson Bay today, have never heard of this station before. Sounded very much like a community radio wanna be.
Was Riot FM on air? 87.6.
There was something on 87.6 - didn’t hear what.
Found another one: Coast Rock FM (!) which seems to be based in Forster/Tuncurry:

Both it and Myall Coast Radio are on Radio Garden.
Vision are seemingly expanding the RDS capability of their stations - the relay in Stanthorpe now also has RDS as per the few metro relays. I believe Warwick already had it some time back - didn’t get to check this time there though.
Checking out the Granite Belt wineries to celebrate over the weekend, @tamago_otoko ?
Yes that 2YMC is at Tea Gardens, I’ve mentioned it here (somewhere) before they started up, about them being granted a LPON licence but right from the start implying they are a community station & would be operating as such, I said before they’ll have to be careful about that.
I’m not sure the team behind the station actually know the difference between an LPON & Community licence & what can & can’t be done on the 2?
Read through their objectives on their web site & it even mentions provisions outlined in the Community Broadcasting Codes of Practice.
Also looking at the variety of shows presented, it’s not Narrowcast by any stretch of the imagination.

River 94.9 having issues with their RDS this morning… This is all its transmitting. Logged at 10:25
No Program Type or Radio Text. Just the PS Display saying “RDS PS”. Audio being a little choppy too at times.
Something Definately Wrong there! was fine at 7:30am
That’s the default. 973 had a similar problem that would begin on a Friday evening and remain unresolved until Monday some time. Did email then PD Barry Drinkwater about it, never received a reply, however it was fixed then.
I noticed there was seemingly no RDS this morning (around 11am here) but that was in my car that can’t decode the FFFF PI code, so maybe wasn’t seeing it. It seems to be back now I think
RDS screen captures from Collie WA.
Hit 96.7
Collie Community Radio 101.3FM
Both using an odd PI, but unlikely to cause any problems. Both also using groups 3A and 11A. I don’t have a RT+ radio to see if this is being use for Title/Artist info, but 1 of my radios displays both stations in the following sequence, in the RT field-
The Hollies - Carrie Anne
Artist:The Hollies / Title:Carrie Anne
The Hollies - Carrie Anne
So, quite possibly RT+.
What app have you used for that?
I do have an Android Nokia phone that has an in built FM radio, wouldn’t mind trying that app you have on it.
And the font? What’s that setting @Informer ?
Is a Comic Sans option in the next update?
This is SDRTouch.
It uses a RTL SDR dongle as the radio, a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect the SDR to the phone, and a piece of wire for an antenna. The app is free but it cost about $10 to unlock the RDS advance tab, waterfall and a few other features. It’s s great - a pocket sized, portable, wide band reciever. Take it any where.
I also use the SDRTouch app to remote access my SDR in my radio shack anywhere over WIFI or 4G. Good to get a quick idea of DX conditions at any time.
Rosemary. It’s a Galaxy S8 built in system font. Doesn’t look like it’s available in the galaxy font store to download.
Went for a drive up to Grafton today, still no RDS on Life 103.1 or FM104.7.
ZZZ Lismore doesn’t appear to have again yet.
