I meant there used to be about 50 stairs ,yes I’m definitely more than 50.
I rang up about this today… unfortunately, there is no way to find out what type of train it will be until the day… even then you can only ring up to find out (not available on line).
BUT I did find this out… there is a real time visual map showing every public transport train/bus etc’s position on a map and what service it is, what model/make of the vehicle, destination, how on time it is etc… Covers all states and territories except WA and TAS…
Location data auto refreshes every 10 seconds… Works particularly well on a Desktop PC.
Also available on Google Play / Apple App Store.
I can say it’s also pretty reliable - use it more often than the actual Adelaide Metro website as it automatically refreshes. The information on vehicles is also pretty accurate.
Good to know.
I’m forking out 50p for a train ride tomorrow so I might use it for my trip.
Toot toot.
You might need to go via the currency exchange first.
It’s cents here, even in QLD
Spotted a few Brisbane Metro new long electric buses going on test runs around the city and the South East Busway today
Something nice that I thought would be worth sharing
I was on a train a couple of weeks ago and there were TransLink transit officers going through all the carriages scanning everyone’s Go Cards .
There shouldn’t be any fare evasion happening anymore if the fares remain at 50s as they will for now.
It will be interesting to see how they do this when the new system Go cards are phased out.
It’s common practice to retain the last four digits of a card for transaction records, so I imagine they’ll just be doing that.
I think what I’m getting at is will they still be doing the same thing? Or does this mean that anyone who does fare evade will instead receive a fine in the mail.
Interesting - there was a suggestion that it wouldn’t be until mid-2025 up until a few weeks ago!
So that’s why the ABC moved to Paramatta
Must be a first time in ages job, normally they’re on the G-Link tram between Cavill Avenue and the Uni Hospital
i get the bus to work and ive never seen them - i would have thought sweeps at king george square would be a thing but no
I notice that Yeerongpilly railway station will be closed again during the upcoming Brisbane International tennis tournament, due to Cross River Rail works. The Queensland Government has previously said that the station would open sometime in early 2025, so that means the station should be in use for the 2026 tournament, 12 months from now, pending further track work.
It’s frustrating that Yeerongpilly Station won’t be open on time for the next Brisbane International.I’m going on the 2nd January to the day session at Pat Rafter Arena.
I’ll have to catch the bus from near home ,change buses at the Mater Hospital stop and catch another one that goes out that way, like I did this year .
The 2nd bus I hopped on was full up that day ,everyone on it was also going to the tennis .
There’s a walkway that goes from Yeerongpilly train station that goes directly to the venue,it would be much more convenient for tennis watchers I was hoping it would be reopening by then.
I was on an inbound train on the Ipswich line (From Wacol Station) when I saw them
