Saturday 17 April - Seven News at 5 is now scheduled for 1 hour in the 3 east coast markets.
Adelaide will also get a one hour local 5pm bulletin for 1 hour.
In Perth the Seven News at 5 will be at 5.30 pm following the WAFL.

Join 7NEWS on Saturday as the world farewells Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, with special live coverage of the ceremonial royal funeral to begin from 5.00pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus.
7NEWS Europe Bureau Chief Hugh Whitfeld will lead coverage from outside St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where the Queen and members of the Royal family will attend to pay their final respects. He’ll be joined by acclaimed BBC broadcaster and royal expert, Angela Rippon CBE, and Sunrise’s royal editor, Rob Jobson.
Following 7NEWS at 6.00, special coverage will recommence from 9.30pm AEST (check local guides).
Immediately following Weekend Sunrise on Sunday, Prince Philip’s funeral service will be replayed, commercial free, from 10am on 7TWO.

I heard during the Perth news that the funeral coverage is by the BBC.

The Adelaide broadcast time for the AFL is incorrect. Carlton v Port Adelaide starts at 6.55pm Adelaide time.
Last Friday and Saturday’s ratings (the night and night after his passing) didn’t suggest so, but I wonder if Seven at least (with a lot of coverage) are thinking Prince Philip’s funeral and/or their preview shows might go big? Surely not Royal Wedding-esque level ratings though?
But then, they dubbed themselves the ‘Royal Network’ and did get around 2m metro, so perhaps want that reputation kept as much as possible?
But AFL in some markets and split schedules makes it a challenge, will be interesting to see, shares at least anyway.

It’s good that Ten are on board with the airing of the funeral. Sure, Ten might not be known as the “royal station”, as the ratings may have bombed for the Royal Weddings over the years, but at least they’re there in the mix.
As for Seven… might be a little overboard with their mix. Coverage from 5? Really? Then The Latest at 7. Followed by The Queen movie.
I can see why therly are doing it (in the “non-AFL cities”). So that people dont change the channels… but its a bit excessive
