Wow, had no idea heās been presenting with Prime/7 since the early 90ās. Would these updates have come from the Ballarat studios, or Albury?

I think they were done in Canberra. He did a lot of weather reports for Newcastle too.
Really? Iām thinking it might be possible these updates were locally produced from Ballarat in 1992.

Ballarat did have a studio at that time. This would logically make sense.

IIRC, Prime only had the updates in Ballarat during the 90ās. There was another presenter after Craig, but I canāt remember his name

January 1996, a time when Prime attempted a short lived/ill fated move of itās Local News to 5.30pm in itās NSW markets (from 29 January that year)
As below, there is a suggestion that Seven wanted Prime to show Today Tonight in prime time.
Only a bit over 6 months later, it was moved back to 6pm again (as below) from 19 August, in all markets except Albury which retained the 5.30pm timeslot for local news.
Both items from the āNewcastle Heraldā.
