I have no words. ![]()
Wow personally I think you are making it into something that it’s not , I’ll stand by my opinion but I’ll be careful with how construct words so I don’t offend the people who are “sensitive” about everything.
Society is complex as enough as it.
I also find it hard to take empathy and apply it to an internet forum when everyone is hiding behind a username . It just weird.
One of my pet peeves is someone telling me that I should behave and have an act to someone on the internet.
I’m interpreting your words as being that people with disabilities and other health conditions shouldn’t be given basic accommodations to be able to do the things in life that able bodied people can enjoy like travel. If I’m wrong please let me know.
Yes I will try to get a refund,
What was he whinging about?
He said some people might stand up cause their legs need a stretch.
He didn’t even say he was talking about himself.
I apologise if you see it that way, but that’s how it came across to me and I don’t think I was alone in that.
I’ll leave it there now, clearly we’re not on the same page here and I don’t think it’ll be to anyone’s benefit to keep dragging this on.
I think you are right and I will apologise if I offended you personally with my comments. I’m happy to leave it at that.
My biggest pet peeve is people who use their phones at lunches, dinners or events. Sitting at the table checking their phone while everyone is conversing and having fun conversations. I think it’s just rude.
My friend collects phones at the front door of his house when he has bbq’s and it’s the best afternoon. No distractions, just fun with mates.
I do live in a public housing complex, have been here 18 years. I was so lucky to get this place when I did, years before the current rental crisis in this country.,and that’s why I don’t want to complain to the QLD Housing Department about other neighbours. The majority of tenants here are well behaved,it’s only a few I have to watch out for or have nothing to do with. Now the guy who’s in the adjoining unit plays loud music day and night and I just put on my Bluetooth headphones to watch TV or play music,or just wear earplugs, and ignore him.
Years ago (over 25 years ago
)I could afford to rent a 1 bedroom flat on my wage in the private rental market but those days are long gone and I definitely can’t share with anyone, need to live by myself.
All levels of government for failing to provide more social and affordable housing over the last decade or more for low income households and anyone on Centrelink payments .
- People whinging on the internet
- Lists
- Irony
That’s what shits me about the current budget there was no gains for those who are on job seeker payments . It’s not exactly easy to be living off low income while paying rent or a mortgage. I really feel labor missed the mark on this. Not that the Liberals solution would be any better though.
I don’t like people who complain…
(the irony is my complaining about people complaining
lol)
A pet peeve of mine is workmates asking unnecessary questions in monthly team meetings, and making these meetings run overtime.
Another is pedestrians j-walking at crossings. It actually takes longer to walk diagonally than straight across the road, and thus making it actually longer to cross. Causing drivers to wait slightly longer for them to cross.
haha. Irony ![]()
What about when there is a traffic light up the street, but the decide to not walk up there where it is more safer with the crossing, but just run or walk in front of on going traffic. There have been close times on William Street in Perth, where a bus has hit someone because the person just is walking across with no care in the world, head focused on phone.
Same here. Or oversharing personal information or taking video calls in what I would consider in private moments. (Such as the bathroom). I had one guy, share his screen from the toilet. I booted him out of the meeting, as it was distracting for the rest of us. Nevertheless he was fired the next day for something else though.
or sharing personal information in public environments. Like the lady in the crowded peak hour train who was calling up to make a flight booking and proceeded to give her name and credit card number, expiry date, CVC number, the lot, out loud over the phone so everyone in earshot in the carriage could just write them down and go beserk ![]()
I hope she learnt her lesson after that! Wonder if anyone actually did record the details. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone had actually. ![]()
My other pet peeve is people using speaker phone on the public transport system. In one that I had last week, a man was having a conversation with another person about how bad he feels for not getting it up in the sack.
This what made me start laughing:
The person on the other on the phone asked “Can I root her then to help you?”
“I do not want you offering yourself to my wife. This is my area of domain.”
A woman turned around to him and said “Clearly your bedroom is not your domain if you can’t satisfy your wife. Now be a good sport and let your friend do it, and can you also keep it down I’m trying to read a book on pregnancy.”

Okay I get what you are saying now, I understand completely now that you had put some context in it. I think the context makes it more clearer . Thanks.
Well that escallated quickly.
Just keep it civil. We all have differing opinions.
People who have loud conversations on speaker phone walking through the supermarket and they aren’t discussing what they are shopping for it’s completely unrelated. I don’t need to hear your conversation at least use airpods at least I can only hear one side of the conversation.
Most of my genuine peeves are related to driving. The drivers that really annoy me are ‘variable speed merchants’. Their natural habitat is the Kings Highway between Bungendore and Braidwood. The classic behaviour is dawdling along at 80-90 then speeding up at an overtaking lane (of which there are few, it’s a shocker of a road).
I think many of these VSMs are on their phones or otherwise distracted.
