I think we’re going to see a lot more streaming integration.

The all but confirmed new brand for the soon to merge Discovery+ and HBO Max is….drumroll….

Max

I would have stuck with Discovery+ but Max+ could work.

Discovery+ is associated with factual home:garden, paranormal, true crime and travel in key US, Latin and EU markets

To compete against Netflix, Prime, Disney+, P+ etc they need a brand that encompasses all
Of HBO high end scripted, as well as Warner movies and Harry Potter and Dc etc

Discovery+ is not that brand

Maybe so but I think because Discovery is a widely known brand it could have expanded into other areas and built on its existing brand.

Max sounds more generic and is a less known brand. Time will tell, if they can build that up to be as big.

Kantar released a report about streamers’ share of new subscribers…

Paramount+ had the second most new subscribers in the last three months of 2022, with Amazon Prime adding the most. Paramount’s subscribers came from strong Black Friday offers.

If I’ve read the report correct and correctly carried the 1 and divided by pi, it means Paramount+ added around 93,000 new subscribers.
