department of children services
Department of Community Services. Which actually doesn’t exist in that form anymore - at least in NSW.
I remember “DOCS” being referred to on Home and Away a lot in the 90s before it stopped being a show about foster kids and just about kidnappings and murders.
So sometime this year late 2021 not mid now? the service is going to relaunch and be much better? Or are rights all over the shop.
I’d be happy if Everybody Hates Chris had all the episodes , starts at ep 2 !
i think the rights are all over the place. Viacom CBS/10 would be better to buy all rights to the shows so that way it can be the full paramount + and not just some half cock service
10 All Access has been around for quite some time, not sure if we have all the same tv stuff as the US service. CBS Shows - Primetime, Daytime Late Night & Classics
Interesting they have The Brady Bunch and Clarissa Explains it All and Happy Days !
It’s like the Aus catalogue is tailored differently
Judging by what I saw, they are aiming to bring everything in house. Whether or not Australia’s delay is because of this, I’m not sure. Outside of the US, Showtime content will be in Paramount+.
That’s exactly what it is like, every territory has different content.
That is the same for every streaming service, it’s not mutually exclusive to All Access.
Netflix though everything is global nearly.
True, but only since Netflix moved away from licensing content to making their own.
Apart from Originals (and even there, there’s some exceptions), not even close.
It’s precisely why there’s always been VPN services advertising their product to Netflix users.
We can also tailor MediaSpy to you if you like, for instance if you continue to not get this rather simple concept of rights across different markets, you could be on a tailored moderation queue.
Good hire by ViacomCBS 10, he joins as Senior Director, Streaming for Paramount+ and PlutoTV.
Chris was previously Head of Operations & Distribution for 9Now and was with Nine for 3yrs.
Wonder when we can expect (what I imagine will be a massive-scale marketing campaign) to start rolling-out for Paramount+ in this territory? Mid-year launch was slated.
Not sure there’s too many ‘originals’ yet, might have to rely on ViacomCBS’s other premium divisions initially, as well as their overwhelming TV and feature film library - one of the largest, oldest and most famous in the world. Though their current vast and various content agreements with other streamers / companies might make things challenging initially also.
Also IMO, a much better name
Going through the cbs library they seem to still have missing episodes for JAG. No complete seasons?
I haven’t updated the app yet. Too hard.
I’m a mullet I’ll get someone else to tap it for me.
It’ll be interesting to see what tabs we get.
Not many Aussie’s will know what CBS, BET and Smithsonian is.
They definitely should not put a 10 tab

And read Bort’s multiple stern replies to “TV Addict” regarding this ‘going round in circles’ topic.
At least I think that’d be why. You see this exact scenario on all bvod and svod services.
I think a significant amount of the Australian TV population would at least be aware of CBS, especially their shows, CBS logo has only appeared at the end of every single episode of every single show since at least the late 2000s.
NCIS to name an obvious one.
I would think a 10 tab would include some of the hugely popular 10
Series like gogglebox, Masterchef, five bedrooms, secret life, offspring etc
Would seem obvious to me
Could they keep it separate, like bvod and svod? 10 Play for 10’s domestic catch-up / vod content (like now), Paramount+ Australia for the actual US ViacomCBS content as will be available elsewhere internationally?
