May 2025
From home grown originals, high stakes drama, to feature films, reality, kids’ animation and sport, Paramount+ is bringing a mountain of entertainment this May.
Strap in for a pit stop around the globe like no other as Paramount+ welcomes the new original six-part series The List. Jack and Falcon, comedic masterminds from The Inspired Unemployed, are diving headfirst into their wildest adventures yet, travelling across six exotic countries with one mission to complete ‘The List’. Unfortunately, their dream bucket list of things they want to do is replaced by a nightmare list of things they have to do. This is set to bring the hilarity and chaos!
If you’re looking for some psychological thrillers, we’ve got you covered with the new exclusive original series The Serial Killer’s Wife, plus the second installment of The Ex-Wife is now streaming.
Hit medical drama series SkyMed is back for season three with more jaw-dropping medical rescues and don’t miss the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, Transformers One.
Plus all your round-ball football action!
All this and more, coming in May.
Channel 10’s decision to hold off the Matlock finale has confused P+ as they are advertising the finale in their top banner and when you click into the show it says “now playing all episodes”, except the finale isn’t actually there.
I’d say someone scheduled those for the site and seemingly weren’t removed or updated when the plans for the show changed.
New trailer for S03 of The Gilded Age which returns June 22nd on Max stateside, wonder what P+’s plans are for this season if they’ll fast track it (unlikely) or still have the rights given Max’s launch down under.
Universal sells the series overseas. Unless P+ want to onsell the rights to Max it will probably stay where it is. Similar to Hacks staying on Stan.
I’m aware, I more so mean since Paramount+ haven’t treated the show all that well before, delaying the S02 local premiere by a few months - it premiered in the US at the end of Oct in 2023 and we didn’t get it until mid Jan 2024.
Given it’s marketed as a “HBO Original”, depending on the rights, there is nothing to stop WBD from picking up the rights from Universal to the new season locally if Paramount Aus aren’t interested.

Paramount+ Greenlights Season Four Of Yellowjackets, Coming Exclusively To Paramount+.
Season Three Set Record As The Most Watched And Most Engaged On Social.
Paramount+ today announced that the SHOWTIME® original Emmy®-Nominated series Yellowjackets has been greenlit for season four, with production dates to be announced shortly.
“Yellowjackets has become a cultural juggernaut; with season three shattering all previous records, we are thrilled to announce its renewal for a season four on Paramount+,” said Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios. “Ashley and Bart have masterfully crafted an utterly singular, genre-defying phenomenon: a perfect alchemy of psychological horror, survival thriller and coming-of-age drama that continues to captivate audiences worldwide, brought to life by our extraordinarily talented and beloved cast.”
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated yet thriving team to savage clans while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later. It proves that the past is never really the past and what began in the wilderness is far from over.
Season three marks the most-watched season ever, with the April finale becoming the most-streamed Yellowjackets episode in the series’ history. On social, season three stands as the most engaged season ever for the show.
Yellowjackets season three stars Emmy nominee and Critics Choice Award winner Melanie Lynskey, Emmy® nominee Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Emmy nominee Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins and Simone Kessell, with Elijah Wood in a recurring role. Two-time Academy Award®-winning actress Hilary Swank guest stars this season along with Joel McHale and Ashley Sutton.
Yellowjackets season three is executive produced by Lyle, Nickerson and fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco. Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer along with Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Brad Van Arragon. The series is produced for SHOWTIME® by Lionsgate Television.
Yellowjackets is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. All previous seasons of Yellowjackets are available to stream on Paramount+.
Paramount Plus sent out an offer this morning for 30% off site wide for their Paramount Shop, very interesting. Wouldn’t have thought this would be available for international customers.
I tried buying a Dexter wine glass for my partner (a big Dexter fan) $30, $20 with discount and then the surprise, quoted $60 for postage. didn’t investigate any further whether this was a mistake, just clicked off site!
