Sadly most of the US networks have shipping at very overpriced rates. I reckon the email was sent by mistake.

I did think at first it must’ve been a mistake, but the banner at the top had Aussie Shore and Last Kings of the Cross in it, so definitely aimed at a local audience despite the exorbitant shipping fees.

Following Its Breakout Viewership, Paramount+ And MTV Documentary Films Set Worldwide Expansion For Documentary – The Children Of October 7.

The Extraordinary Account by Israeli Children Featuring Social Media Activist Montana Tucker Will Premiere Globally on Monday, 2 June On Paramount+.

Following its breakout success, Paramount+ and MTV Documentary Films today announced the global expansion of The Children of October 7 which is set to debut across every Paramount+ territory on Monday, 2 June, coinciding with the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.

The documentary, which features social media activist Montana Tucker, is directed by Asaf Becker and produced by Kastina Communications. It will now be available in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latin America, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

On October 7, 2023, Israeli children were among the most vulnerable victims of the Hamas attacks. Of the estimated 1,200 Israelis murdered, 37 were children. Of those who survived, over 100 children lost one parent, over 20 lost both parents and more than 35 were kidnapped to Gaza. Hundreds of children were injured, and thousands were displaced from their homes.

The Children of October 7 features deeply sensitive conversations between Tucker and these children who bravely share their experiences of trauma and survival as they continue to process the unthinkable – being held captive, witnessing the deaths of their parents and enduring violent invasions of their homes. Alongside Tucker’s support, the children present a poignant and heartfelt depiction of their terrifying experiences.

Shari Redstone, Chair of Paramount Global, said: “We have long been committed to sharing content that informs and educates. This documentary is a clear example in highlighting the terror that occurred on October 7th and the aftermath for thousands of children who will forever suffer from the impact of that day. Montana Tucker is doing extraordinary work, and we’re proud to distribute the film around the world on Paramount+.”

The Children of October 7 is one of the most important projects I’ve ever been part of. As the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, hearing these children share the horrors they endured — losing their families, their homes, and their innocence in a single morning — felt hauntingly familiar. I’m grateful they trusted me with their stories and that they have this platform to share their truth. Thanks to Paramount+ and MTV, the world will bear witness,” said Montana Tucker.

With nearly 14 million followers across her social media platforms, primarily from Gen Z, award-winning social media activist, actress, singer, dancer and philanthropist Montana Tucker is one of the leading pro-Israel voices in the American entertainment industry. Following the October 7 attacks, Tucker dedicated herself to raising global awareness of the Israeli hostages in Gaza and gained international recognition.

The Children of October 7 was produced by Eytan Schwartz, Meny Aviram, Mor Tregger, Zameret Alexaneroni, Jonathan Barsade and Rotem Alima. The film was directed by Asaf Becker, with cinematography by Sasha Gavrikov and editing by Yotam Katzor.

The film is currently streaming in the U.S. on Paramount+.

From the TVT newsletter, could this be referring to Fake?

Could a recent Asher Keddie hit series be under consideration for a new season …and if so where might the story go? Hmmm.

Offspring 2.0

How come Paramount + only has Seasons 1 to 6 of South Park now ? It says on their site 26 seasons ..oddly.

Probably because it costs too much to keep and nobody watches the later seasons.

It’s regularly in the top 10 shows in the carousel on there and they have a deal to produce exclusive South Park movies for P+, find it hard to believe it would be too expensive or nobody is watching (the later seasons).

They’re all there, you just need to scroll down on the drop down as it only shows in preview the first 6 seasons.

Cameras Roll On Paramount+ Australia Original Series, Two Years Later.

Starring Brenton Thwaites And Phoebe Tonkin. Coming To Paramount+ In 2026.

Paramount+ Australia and Screen Australia today announced that filming has commenced in Brisbane on the Paramount+ original series Two Years Later , a poignant, funny, and deeply relatable romantic drama starring acclaimed Australian actors Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean, Titans, Maleficent) and Phoebe Tonkin (Boy Swallows Universe, Bloom, Babylon).

Created by screenwriter Pete Bridges and produced by Emmy® and BAFTA Award-winning production company, Hoodlum, Two Years Later is an eight-part romantic dramedy set in a post-pandemic world, following thirty-somethings Emily (Tonkin) and Ryan (Thwaites) whose brief, daily flirtations on their work commute aboard a bus are abruptly cut off by COVID-19.

Two years later, they reconnect unexpectedly, and Ryan impulsively proposes they go on eight dates to decide if they’re meant to be married. Together, they navigate personal revelations, unexpected family drama, professional upheavals, and their contrasting worldview - all while discovering genuine intimacy.

With Brisbane providing the perfect mix of heart and hustle as the backdrop, this series is a modern love story that evolves across a span of eight dates. What follows is a tender, funny, and unfiltered exploration of love, identity, ambition, and the winding path to true intimacy.

Brenton Thwaites is known for his breakout role in The Giver and blockbusters including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, where he starred opposite Johnny Depp. He brought a grounded emotional core to the DC superhero series Titans as the lead role of Dick Grayson, and has built a career blending action and drama, both in Hollywood and at home. Two Years Later marks a return to more intimate storytelling for Thwaites, showcasing his versatility and dramatic range.

Phoebe Tonkin rose to international prominence in The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals, and first captivated audiences as Cleo in the global teen hit H2O: Just Add Water. Her range spans genre and form, from the emotionally charged Bloom and the gritty hit Boy Swallows Universe to feature films such as Damien Chazelle’s Babylon. She continues to establish herself as one of Australia’s most versatile talents across television, film, and behind the camera as a director and producer.

Starring alongside Thwaites and Tonkin are veteran actors Roy Billing (Underbelly , Jack Irish) and Heather Mitchell (Love Me, The Unusual Suspects, Fake), bringing heart and depth to a multi-generational story of romance and resilience.

Daniel Monaghan, SVP Content and Programming, Paramount Australia said: “Two Years Later is unlike anything else on screen, intimate, honest, and refreshingly grounded. Phoebe and Brenton bring extraordinary nuance and chemistry to a story that celebrates the messiness of modern dating.”

Screen Australia Director of Narrative Content Louise Gough said: “Two Years Later is a lively exploration of modern romance, grounded in humour and realism. Hoodlum have a strong track record of delivering emotionally rich stories and under the direction of Emma Freeman I’ve no doubt Pete Bridges’ universally appealing storytelling will capture the hearts of audiences here and around the world.”

Screen Queensland CEO Jacqui Feeney said the agency is proud to support Two Years Later through its Screen Finance Fund and Post, Digital and Visual Effect (PDV) Incentive.

“This captivating new Australian drama series from Queensland’s own Hoodlum shines a spotlight on our exceptional homegrown talent. Set against a vibrant Brisbane backdrop, with a screenplay by local writer Pete Bridges, and post-production taking place right here in Queensland, the series is testament to what our industry can achieve. We applaud Paramount+ for its ongoing commitment to bold, locally made stories that resonate with both Australian and global audiences.”

Tracey Vieira, Hoodlum’s producer said: "We are thrilled to bring Pete Bridges’ compelling and beautifully written series, Two Years Later , to the screen, with the remarkable talents of Brenton Thwaites and Phoebe Tonkin leading the cast, and visionary director Emma Freeman at the helm. Partnering with Paramount+ and Banijay allows us to tell this deeply relatable, funny, and heartfelt story about connection, identity, and love in a post-pandemic world. It’s a joy and privilege to collaborate with such incredible creative talents to bring this truly special Australian story to audiences worldwide.”
