Paramount+ Australian Original Series. Exclusively Streaming Now On Paramount+.
Paramount+ today announced that its Australian original series, Fake, has fast become a water cooler hit and is officially the biggest first week launch of a local drama since Paramount+ arrived in Australia.
The eight-part series, inspired by journalist Stephanie Wood’s memoir of the same name, is available to stream now and has sent a surge of new subscribers to Paramount+.
In the hands of two of the country’s finest, Gold Logie award-winning actress Asher Keddie (The Lost Flowers Of Alice Heart, Nine Perfect Strangers, Offspring) and Australian Film Institute award-winning actor David Wenham (Elvis, Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers & Return Of The King), Fake is a visceral psychological thriller that resonates with anyone who has ever been lied to.
Daniel Monaghan, SVP Content & Programming, said: "We are absolutely delighted by the number of viewers that have already binged all eight episodes of Fake on Paramount+.
“This powerful new drama series has been brought to life by the outstanding performances from Asher Keddie and David Wenham, and the creative vision of Kindling Pictures has been embraced wholeheartedly by new and existing subscribers alike. It’s a thrilling watch and we couldn’t be prouder."
Critics are raving, see what they are saying about Fake
Fake is a Kindling Pictures production for Paramount+ Australia, with major production investment from Paramount ANZ and Screen Australia, in association with VicScreen. Entertainment One (eOne) will handle international sales.
I’d say it has a lot to do with the huge popularity of the two leading actors but it must be great too.
Can confirm it is good.
Frasier Season Two Premieres Friday, 20 September On Paramount+.
The New Original Comedy Series Starring Kelsey Grammer, Coming Exclusively To Paramount+.
Paramount+ today announced that season two of its new original comedy series Frasier , starring Kelsey Grammer, will premiere on Friday, 20 September with two episodes. New episodes will then drop weekly on Fridays, exclusively on Paramount+.
Also announced today, Frasier’s sophomore season will see Dr. Frasier Crane return to his radio roots at KACL in Seattle for an episode. The episode will feature previously announced guest stars stepping back into their roles from the original Frasier including Dan Butler as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton and Harriet Sansom Harris as Frasier’s delightfully devilish agent, Bebe Glazer.
Produced by CBS Studios, Frasier films in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. The series follows Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life after he returns to Boston to face new challenges, forge new relationships and – with hope – finally fulfill an old dream or two.
In addition to Grammer, the series stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son, Freddy; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Eve, Frasier and Freddy’s neighbour and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew, David.
Peri Gilpin will return for season two as a recurring guest star to once again reprise the beloved role of Roz Doyle. Other previously announced guest stars include Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Greer Grammer, Patricia Heaton and Amy Sedaris. Legendary director James Burrows also returns to direct two episodes.
The original Frasier still holds the record for most Emmy® wins for a comedy series with 37 wins and 107 nominations.
Frasier comes from writers Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life in Pieces), who executive produce with Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets.

We’ll be bringing some heat this August, as ten naked singletons take their search for love to a whole new level. Fed up of the dating game and ditching the complications and constraints of the modern world, these singles will be stripping right back to basics and baring all, in the name of finding love. With an abundance of drama, desire and dates, this brand-new series brings together a host of larger-than-life personalities all with one thing in common – they are living in a tropical paradise, stark naked 24/7.
In this ultimate dating experiment, the singles will be put to the test as the arrival of naked newbies will shift dynamics and relationship connections already formed. There will also be an array of sexy, hilarious and dramatic dates firing up the passion, and an epic ditching at the Dumping Ground in every episode as Rylan says Laters to the Daters. For those who make it to the end of the experience, there will be a big cash prize up for grabs. With emotions laid bare and romances unbuttoned, will any of them succeed in their quest to find love?

The number of Paramount+ subscribers decreased 2.8 million in the quarter, to 68 million, which the company said largely reflects the planned exit from a hard bundle agreement in South Korea. The company expects Paramount+ to return to net subscriber growth in the second half of the year, and revert back to net losses in the third and fourth quarter due to the timing of content releases.
Within the company’s streaming segment, subscription revenue grew 12 percent, which the company said was driven by year-over-year subscriber growth and pricing increases for Paramount+, while advertising revenue rose 16 percent, due to growth in Paramount+ and Pluto TV. Paramount+ revenue is up 46 percent year-over-year.
Callum Takes Aussie Shore To A Hole New Level.
Callum Hole Joins The Cast Of Aussie Shore. Coming Soon To Paramount+ Australia.
Paramount+ Australia is turning three today (oh they grow up so fast!). To celebrate, we’ve wrapped up a cheeky gift in the shape of reality star, Callum Hole.
This cheeky and charming Welshman is joining the cast of Aussie Shore. Coming soon to Paramount+, get ready to witness the wildest antics and the most unfiltered shenanigans that will make your grandma blush.
Aussie Shore is the first Australian iteration of the smash-hit, international reality “Shores” franchise. The outrageous original series’, Jersey Shore and Geordie Shore, were pioneering cultural phenomena that launched the career of the most famous of all partygoing housemates and Aussie Shore House Boss, Charlotte Crosby.
Joining Callum will be 10 fresh-faced, unapologetically wild Aussie singletons who embody the Shore spirit. Don’t worry, you’ll meet them soon enough!
Playboy Callum first appeared on television screens on Love Island Australia where his hilarious banter and spontaneity were a recipe for fun but also disaster in the best way possible.
More recently, he won a legion of fans on the latest season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The charismatic jokester earned himself a third-place spot after Australia fell in love with his overall lack of knowledge on basically everything around him.
Cheeky, naughty and wildly fun, Callum’s electric personality and endless energy always kept things interesting for his fellow campmates and those watching at home.
If his Welsh accent doesn’t get you, his one-liners will.
Callum said: “Get the fire extinguisher out because the Aussie Shore house is about to get hot, innit? If there is anything this Welshman has learned while living in Australia, is that Aussie’s know how to party, and this house is 24/7 party.
“All the geezers in the house are tip-top, but I ain’t intimidated by any Aussie boys. At the end of the day, bruv, I’m Callum Hole. It’s going to be absolute madness and I can’t wait to blow the roof off the house.”
Our 11 housemates will come together as one big dysfunctional family and call Cairns, North Queensland their home for the most unforgettable and unfiltered summer of their lives! As House Boss, Charlotte Crosby will help them navigate the highs and lows of living, working and partying together.
Aussie Shore is supported by Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.
