10 licensed the whole catalogue separately after the Netflix deal lapsed, but they canned that during the cost cutting measures back in February as mentioned above.
They still have some deal for the episodes to air on a 10 play FAST channel, likely a revenue sharing arrangement with Endemol Shine who produced the series.

It’s really weird to me that P+ AU original commisions are being removed.
Surely one of the things you do when you commision an Aussie show is at least pay for the rights for 3-5 years.

Depends on how much needs to be spent on residuals etc to keep the show available. It appears to be cost management.

Shows drop off all platforms regularly, so it’s pretty common practice. The biggest issue I see here is if that happened without warning. That is definitely form.

Likely due to low performance, higher rating original series like Five Bedrooms, Last King of the Cross, NCIS: Sydney etc are all still there.
They took some different swings and they didn’t work out, some of them are still living on 10 play interestingly. Betoota Advocate Presents, The Bridge, More Than This, The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race etc.
As has been said, all in cost management. Paramount globally did this with Nickelodeon titles on P+ too which you would think would’ve been pretty safe.

The sheer amount of content to leave suggests that it’s highly likely any offer made didn’t make economic sense to one of the parties.

Netflix is not what it used to be either. I have found over the last few months there ad supported plan is now full of ads. Its not just 2-3 ads like is was when it first started. Then two add to that the price has just gone up. Oh and for the basic plan with no ads it’s now $18.99.

Makes sense given Sony don’t want to keep P+ and would probably be more likely to sell off the free to air holdings as they are more of a content producer rather than a distributor to consumers.
That was made clear with the exclusivity period, you don’t do that unless you want to give it a red hot go or the money is too good.
Do Skydance have any broadcasting assets? I thought they just did some program production.

They had the Tonys last year. I think they have done a few MTV Award shows (Movie & TV, VMA, EMA) over the last few years.
