Paramount+ Unveils Trailer For New Docuseries – Lolla: The Story Of Lollapalooza.

Premiering Exclusively On Paramount+ On Wednesday, 22 May.

Paramount+ today revealed the official trailer for the upcoming three-part docuseries Lolla: The Story Of Lollapalooza, which will premiere exclusively on Wednesday, 22 May.

In the summer of 1991, the Lollapalooza music festival was born. What started as a farewell tour for the band Jane’s Addiction, rose from the underground to launch a cultural movement and change music forever.

Lolla: The Story Of Lollapalooza depicts the exciting and strangely symbiotic 30+ year relationship between the iconic festival and Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros). Throughout the series, Farrell reconnects with what the event has become and reflects on the festival’s cultural significance across multiple genres and decades.

Directed by the multi-Emmy® nominated Michael John Warren (Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known, Jay-Z’s Fade to Black) and executive produced by multi-Emmy nominees James Lee Hernandez and Brian Lazarte (McMillions), the three-part series made its triumphant world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Lolla: The Story Of Lollapalooza is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and FunMeter, in partnership with C3 Presents. The series is executive produced by Bruce Gillmer and Amanda Culkowski (MTV Entertainment Studios), James Lee Hernandez and Brian Lazarte (FunMeter), Daniel Gibbs and Mat Whittington (C3 Presents) and Brian Levy (Entertainment 360). Perry Farrell, Charlie Walker, Charles Attal and Berkeley Reinhold are producers; Matt Kaye and Jordan Bogdonavage are co-executive producers; Shannon Pence is supervising producer. Michael John Warren serves as executive producer and director.

I really don’t know where the series can go tbh. Will be interesting.

Animated series Housebroken, which streamed on P+ in Australia, has been axed after two seasons.

Season 2 of Transformers: EarthSpark premieres on P+ in Australia on June 8.

The new Mean girls movie is not available paramount+ - this is despite Apple TV and justwatch suggesting that it is.

There isn’t a post here suggesting it was ever added, but I have seen outside posts suggesting it became available in March. Surely wouldn’t have been removed that quick if it was,

It’s probably an error. I’d say it’s linked to the original which is on Paramount+

It’s a bit soon for it to be available for free. Barbie has only just been made available for free on Binge.

I think my kids misled me haha there’s also an article (although in America) which suggested it was online. But thank you hive mind!

Catfish S9 started 2 weeks ago with a double episode drop and now nothing since? What’s going on? These streamers are starting to really annoy me lately…

A real mix of acquired content there, most of the choices seem a bit meh… like they’ve picked up the dregs.

Shooting Stars was a Peacock Original which aired in June of last year.

The Secret Life of Pets 2 is distributed by Universal Pictures and is a number of years old now.

My Son Jeffrey: The Dahmer Family Tapes aired on Fox Nation in the US, produced by Renowned Films.

How Music Got Free is a Warner Bros. Unscripted production for Paramount.

She Said is distributed by Universal Pictures and released in 2022, though bombed at the box office.

Yellowstone: One-Fifty was released in 2022, and also aired on Fox Nation in the states.

Any reason why Offspring has been pulled off Paramount+?

Happened a few months ago, back in Feb.

It’s got to do with licensing costs and general cost cutting at that time by Paramount.

There is an Offspring FAST channel on 10 play currently.

Could be a licencing deal. Maybe it was produced with another studio. Not sure of the details though
