Paramount+

I think the major issue people have with P+ is the number of shows they announce as exclusive then a few months later they end up on Channel 10. No one has said anything about the way they cover sport.

Why would anyone get upset about that? It’s the same company so it’s logical, at least to me that shows from Paramount+ end up on 10. Neither that or problems with their sports presentation was the original post here that I commented on but the lack of 4K broadcasting. And Kayo is better than Stan sports!

Yeah the compression artifacts in the 6mbps Kayo streams are great.

There are a lot of people that do… You only have to read the posts in this thread.

I’m not too sure why you said that but ok.

I was quite looking forward to that series, but the first episode was really not good - it all just felt really forced.

Has anyone else noticed any slight updates to the app? I’m using P+ through AppleTV and have noticed a couple of things, but could be wrong about when they were introduced.

Show previews are now playing on the top carousel on the home page, but they’re using trailers which have the P+ watermark and show name on the top LHS but are stretched to fit the screen so they’re cut off - on my tv anyway.

There’s a new carousel with vertical tiles mid way down the home page which expand with extra info (seasons, availability of new eps, short bio) when you stop on one of them.

I hope the UI gets a refresh in the new year, it really needs it. Looks quite outdated now

Is Paramount in a better financial position than the company behind Peacock?

The show pages also have a different (better) layout now. Similar to Apple TV+ and Binge, with the episode tiles horizontally under the title/image. You no longer need to go to a seperate menu for the episodes.

Comcast? No. Comcast is commercially stronger than Paramount. Paramount is being eyed for mergers with WBD.

Ah yes I did notice that too, much better.

I also noticed a skip intro option I believe on one show I was watching, looked new.
