Paramount+ Announces Global Premiere Date For Season Two Of Halo.

Hit Series To Debut First Two Episodes On 8 February, 2024.

Paramount+ today announced that the highly anticipated second season of the hit series Halo will premiere the first two episodes globally on Thursday, 8 February, 2024, in all countries where Paramount+ is available.

In season two, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.

Led by showrunner and executive producer David Wiener (Brave New World), the series takes place in the universe that first debuted in 2001 with the launch of Xbox®’s first Halo game. Dramatising an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series weaves deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

Halo stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) as Master Chief, Spartan-117 and Natascha McElhone (Californication) as Dr. Halsey, who also both serve as producers this season. Additional returning cast members include Jen Taylor (Halo game series, RWBY) as Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher), Olive Gray (Half Moon Investigations), Yerin Ha (Reef Break), Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Danny Sapani (Penny Dreadful).

New additions to the cast this season include Joseph Morgan (Vampire Diaries , The Originals) and Cristina Rodlo (No One Gets Out of Here Alive, The Homeless World Cup). Morgan joins the series as James Ackerson, a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence. Rodlo is Talia Perez, a corporal specialising in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corps communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat. Returning from season one, Laera (Fiona O’Shaughnessy) is Soren’s confidant, wife and partner in crime. Soren and Laera’s son, Kessler (Tylan Bailey), has had a relatively peaceful, if unusual, childhood growing up on the Rubble.

Halo is produced by SHOWTIME® in association with 343 Industries and Amblin Television. The second season of Halo is executive produced by David Wiener alongside Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television. Kiki Wolfkill serves as executive producer for Xbox/343 Industries, with Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie for One Big Picture and Gian Paolo Varani. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The Gilded Age Returns With A Riveting Second Season Of Opulence, Intrigue and Societal Upheaval.

The Gilded Age Season Two. Streaming Exclusively On Paramount+ From Sunday, 14 January 2024.

From creator Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey), the HBO Original drama series The Gilded Age returns with all eight episodes, exclusively on Paramount+ from Sunday, 14 January 2024.

The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic change, of great conflict between the old ways and brand-new systems, and of huge fortunes made and lost. Season two of The Gilded Age begins on Easter morning 1883, with the news that Bertha Russell’s bid for a box at the Academy of Music has been rejected. Through the eight episodes of the season, we watch as Bertha challenges Mrs. Astor and the old system and works to not only gain a foothold in Society, but to potentially take a leading role in it. George Russell takes on his own battle with a growing union at his steel plant in Pittsburgh. In the Brook House, Marian continues her journey to find her way in the world secretly teaching at a girls school, while much to everyone’s surprise, Ada begins a new courtship. Of course, Agnes approves of none of it. In Brooklyn, the Scott family begins to heal from a shocking discovery, and Peggy taps into her activist spirit through her work with T. Thomas Fortune at the NY Globe.

The stellar ensemble features Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Denée Benton, Ben Ahlers, Michael Cerveris, Kelley Curran, Taissa Farmiga, Jack Gilpin, Simon Jones, Sullivan Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Debra Monk, Donna Murphy, Kristine Nielsen, Kelli O’Hara, Patrick Page, Harry Richardson, Taylor Richardson, Blake Ritson, Douglas Sills, Erin Wilhelmi, Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, John Douglas Thompson, Ashlie Atkinson, Laura Benanti, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Christopher Denham, David Furr, Ward Horton, Matilda Lawler and Robert Sean Leonard.

Julian Fellowes is the creator, writer, and executive producer of The Gilded Age. Executive producers include Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Bob Greenblatt, and Salli Richardson-Whitfield. Michael Engler serves as both a director and executive producer, while Sonja Warfield takes on the roles of writer and executive producer.

The Gilded Age is a co-production between HBO and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

It will have been nearly a month after the second season finishes in the US. Why can’t P+ stream this season at the same time as America?

Probably focusing its marketing on NCIS:Sydney and Paper Dolls pre-Christmas then trying to incorporate The Gilded Age in the new year.

It’s interesting how some shows have practically no promotion while others get promoted to death. Just noticed a show called No Escape which has a big Aussie/Kiwi cast and many Australian characters.

It was released as The Blue in the UK in May but No Escape in Australia/New Zealand in July. Strange that I’ve never heard of it but saw a promo pop up in one of my social media feeds. Cast includes Jay Ryan, Sean Keenan, Susie Porter, Gary Sweet, Anne Looby.

They should window stuff like that on 10 come ratings season.
