With the year of the Snake sneaking up, let’s take a look at the Hong Kong broadcasters’ Lunar New Year packages…

TVB Jade’s ident is finally all new since 2022, with its animation done in 3D and a fresh background tune. Its English counterpart, TVB Pearl, got their own variant after 2 years of absence.

It’s business as usual over on HoyTV/Hoy IBC, who updated their programme junctions with the festivities.

ViuTV/ViuTV6 arrived a bit later than the two, with a more blocky and louder take on the New Year:

That leaves RTHK TV 31 - but judging from last year, they’re probably switching to it at midnight sharp on the first day of the year. It’s much more generic than last year too:


As part of their 35th anniversary celebration, Antena 3 in Spain debuted a new graphics package and redesigned typeface. Designed by their in-house team, the main symbol returns to all sharp corners and uses its outline as motion device. This is the graphics reel:
