Olympics Coverage - History

Quite a step back from Ten’s coverage in Sochi though. From memory they had Ten and One showing live coverage. Do agree it’s a huge step up from the mid 's though.

OlympicsOn7 is showing the ice lawn bowls. Good to watch for a couple of minutes.

This is reminiscent to the watermark that Channel 7 had used during the 2008 Olympics.

I do hope that they keep it that way for the Games tomorrow, no need for coloured opaque watermarks and the “Live & Free” tag clutter, keep it simple.

Curling…

it was very interesting to watch

Seven’s streams are up and running. Basil involved in the Opening Ceremony.

I actually thought about adding …from the LukeMovieMan files but thought that’s digging a hole for myself.

Seriously, is Bruce retiring, official statement?

Thanks.

Bruce McAvaney has stated in various articles that he is “feeling as fit as ever” and is determined to keep working full time as much as possible, spearheaded by the AFL (Friday Night Football).

Bruce seems like the type of guy who’ll go for as long as he possibly can.

His cancer battle isn’t terminal, apparently it’s not harmful at all and there’s not much that can be done, other than doctor check-ups and he’s said he “just gets a little tired” soemtimes.

He’s the legend of Australian sports broadcasting IMO.
