So all seven could rustle up in the IBC is a green screen for Bruce to sit in front of. They really needed a presentation area over there.

The coverage is a bit TOO Aussie centric for my liking.

For instance, regarding the ā€˜In Rio Todayā€™ tonight coverage, they aired the Bronze medal archery match between Australia and China, but there was NOT ONE mention of who won Gold, or what the Gold medal match was.

The rio set is real. Only the floor graphics (obviously) are virtual.

I think Ch 7 made the wrong decision in regards to Bruceā€¦

Shouldā€™ve called the Swimming until Athletics (then Basil couldā€™ve taken over - Basil couldā€™ve initially done Rowing).

As for Hamish, I think heā€™s doing pretty well.

What the hell is Johanna Griggs doing? Just taking a vacation :disappointed:

Seven using too much of the same journalists too, Chris Reason & Mike Amor hogging everything.

HAVENā€™T SEEN ANDREW GAZE ONCE (only heard him on Basketball).

I suppose it IS only Day oneā€¦

No Bruce should be hosting until the athletics. Hamish couldā€™ve been buried in the midnight time slot so we wonā€™t see him.

Also why have they got Todd Woodbridge as an anchor? Heā€™s a special comments analyst for tennis and even then he struggles.

Most of these presenters lack polish. Theyā€™ve really struggled to find people with talent at sports casting. Gone are the days of sandy Roberts and Bruce being the centre of the coverage.

I miss Sandy. He popped up the other day on an AFL game featuring Port. It was Foxtelā€™s coverage and he was basically hosting.

That Hamish guy has no clue how to stand in that set, and yeah he is awkward. I can think of numerous other people who could do a better job.

Bill Woods could have been used in a hosting capacity rather than commentating on basketball.

Hamish is terrible and Mel McLaughlin hasnā€™t improved much since Sochi.

I agree. Bill Woods would have been a great inclusion of a hosting duty, than just the basketball commentating.

He was host of SportsFan Clubhouse for a few years on SevenMate until last year, and was great on it, and did a great job back on Sports Tonight. Ahhh, the good old days of the great show. He has good charisma.

Sochi games were before Glasgow. I said she hasnā€™t improved much since Sochi.
