The only time that I’ve ever really delved into anything like that is on a trip to Europe. Some places (like Ibiza or big music festivals/clubs) drink prices are ridiculously expensive so people will try other things. You got to Amsterdam and part of the experience is going to the coffee shops (albeit that is at least legal there). It’s all part of a young person travelling. He’s young and probably saw an opportunity to party after the Olympics to celebrate. Of course it’s absolutely a bad look given he was there representing the country, so he deserves the slap on the wrist that he is getting.
Here I was last night starting to wonder if that was going to be the end of our Gold run and then I wake up to the news of 4. Absolutely amazing and am now very excited to see if we can grab any more in the final days.
I thought the swimming was going to be end of our gold run but little we knew we won 6 medals in the 2nd week to make Paris 2024 our greatest games ever
But has been stripped of his athlete privledges and medals. Good . Being young is not an excuse for doing something you shouldn’t be doing. Needs a good hard luck at himself. Hopefully learn from it.

Why are basically, being allowed to be part of the village and team for the rest of the games (eventhough he moved out already, athletes are still allowed to attend and use village facilities for the duration of the games just don’t have a room)
Australia claimed silver in men’s kayak four 500m final, with Germany taking gold and Spain bronze. Spain grabbed an early lead but it was overtaken by Germany at the halfway mark. Australia (Riley Fitzsimmons, Pierre van der Westhuyzen, Jackson Collins and Noah Harvard) was around 4th most of the way, before storming home, just failing to catch the Germans at the finish line.
Earlier, Australia came eighth in the women’s final, won by New Zealand.

Watching fencing currently on 9Now, pentathlon qualifying. 9 and Gem went to artistic gymnastics and women’s golf, boring. Diving final in 20min. More Aussies and finals beyond midnight. Many might be able to enjoy breakfast before heading to work watching the beach volleyball semi at 5am!
This result is even more remarkable considering our team sports for the most part have failed to deliver. This is where we are generally strong and also how there is already a performance review announced by Rowing Australia and sure to see reviews into the performance of our Hockey teams, Matildas and Boomers.
