Why would you bother at an event like the Olympics where you’ll mostly get caught and in his case he did.
I’m against any kind of drugs, yes I am the fun one at the party but sadly the amount of people I know do it, especially cocaine. It’s slowly becoming the new normal, if not it already has.

It was Serbia v Australia in basketball for the second time in 24 hours, this time in women’s basketball with a different result. Australia led from start to finish and won the quarter-final 85-67, and will next face USA in the semi-final.

I’m travelling to Europe atm and certainly aren’t touching anything like that. It ruins lives that stuff. Drugs, alcohol and smokes/vapes I will never ever consume or let be part of my life.

A usual trip for a lot of people - not everyone.
If you don’t think a lot of young people from this part of the world go to Europe and get on the nose candy (or other illicit drugs), you’d be wrong. That stuff certainly a lot more prevalent (and from what I gather cheaper) in the big Euro capitals than Australia. Am I excusing it? No but it’s certainly something people do.

With regards to recreational drugs it really only “ruins” lives if the person is an addict
With regards to smoking - you don’t need to be an addict for that to ruin your life
And we pay for all those smokers with our health insurance
However obesity also ruins lives. And we pay for those people with our premiums too.
Addicts society generally turns their back on.

Same but after we won skateboarding gold… Never did I think we’d nab another two gold and more of silver and bronze! I thought at least one more gold was possible, thought it’d be Denny in the discus.
Amazing night, unbelievable record, who thought we’d beat Tokyo and Athens. IOC, AOC and Nine would be beside themselves.

For a population of 26 million, winning 18 gold medals with just 4 days of competition remaining is remarkable. What an Olympics for Australia and we are not done yet.

Certainly I agree with On Air that it is cheaper in Europe to get a gram of some illicit drugs and it’s common for young people to do it across the world.
But this athlete has been very lucky to not even be charged. I guess if you are an athlete you can get away with everything , would be how some people would look at it. Consider a person who is not a celeb or athlete they would most likely get booked.
Probably be too late to give him the flick from the Olympic team though.
None the less I have been impressed with Australia’s form in thr olympics.
