Why would they? That’s not what they’re known for and why their expertise has been sought out.

No I know but they’ve presumably been allowed by their employers to appear on a rival. Then they would just say “Football Commentator” for Simon Hill, or “Journalist” for Gideon Haigh.
I think for presumably freelance ex-players/pundits there would be little point having an exclusivity clause in there.
