Was there a reason why the ANZAC tests, when held in NZ always aired on delay?
Probably because of the time zone difference, as a 7.30pm start NZ time equated to 5.30 EST and that clashed with Nine’s news. Even these days that’s still an issue, and thus most ANZAC games are played in Australia, probably for that reason.

Yeah they can give them the 6pm Friday games. 8pm Local time is more spectator friendly.

9Gem will show the rugby league test between Tonga and Great Britain live from Hamilton, New Zealand, this Saturday (October 26) at 5.30pm AEDT. This is part of the Lions’ four-test tour of southern hemisphere, including matches against Tonga, NZ and Papua New Guinea.

The press release says Australia v NZ will be on 9Gem in Melbourne, but online guides say the match will be on the main channel in Melbourne. Which one is correct?

Not mentioned in the press release is that 9Gem and 9Now will air the test match between New Zealand and British Lions from Auckland’s Eden Park next Saturday (November 2) at 3pm AEDT.

The NRL will release the 2020 fixture this morning. It’s the first time Nine has no control in the fixturing, which should means less number of Broncos matches on Thursday and Friday nights and more family-friendly times for big clashes.

Unfortunately The traditional ANZAC Day NRL Match between Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra will Not be shown on Channel Nine/GEM. Instead, this match will be shown exclusively on Fox League.
