Agree. Not a fan of Matt. Nine dropped the ball big time when they let go Voss.
I think Voss left because he wasn’t happy about Ray Hadley being brought in to call games ahead of him. So its Nine’s own fault really.
But then I’m happy with Thompson, Psaltis and Speed as the callers. They do a decent job.
Interesting alignment of the network & 9Now logo there, the 9’s look to be the same size which makes the app logo dwarf the other. Perhaps intentional to push streaming.
Hell No… If they get Dan Ginane in, I will switch off. I hate his bias to New South Wales team everytime I watch a Melbourne Storm Game. I’ve enjoyed the lack of Bias to New South Wales since Gus Gould is not doing as much commentary. He still think he is on radio calling the game(Ray Hadley use to do it when on Channel Nine)
I think Channel Nine has let go probally there Best caller and he is now at Fox. Andrew Voss is the one to go to in my opinion but I do not think he goes back.
Agree, Nine would have to pay overs to get him back anyway and they won’t do that.
And it would make them look silly for dumping him down to No 3 caller in the first place.
Yeah - I didn’t suggest Voss given the history.

Firing up Beanie Round on Thursday Night Footy, a blockbuster showdown ensues with the Sharks against the Dolphins in a top four clash at PointsBet Stadium.
Cronulla will be looking to build on the momentum of their big win over Brisbane last week as they welcome Nicho Hynes back into the halves from Origin. For the Dolphins, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Felise Kaufusi and Kodi Nikorima will all make their returns.
In Friday Night Footy, a huge boost for South Sydney with skipper Cameron Murray set to make his long-awaited return from injury when they go head-to-head against the Broncos at Accor Stadium.
Beanie Round culminates in Newcastle with the Knights hosting the reigning premiership winning Panthers at McDonald Jones Stadium in Sunday Arvo Footy. Knights centre Bradman Best is hopeful of making a comeback from injury in a bid to reclaim his NSW Origin spot, while Panthers star fullback Dylan Edwards makes his return to their team’s line-up.
Don’t miss the pre-game coverage from 3.00pm Sunday when the Mark Hughes Foundation Big Three Trek arrives at the ground after their 150 kilometre walk from Sydney to Newcastle over three days raising funds and awareness for brain cancer.
MHF Founder, Mark Hughes, said: “In Beanie Round we become unified as one big team. We all want to help make a difference, we all want to support brain cancer. Whether you’re NSW or QLD, no matter what team you support, we are on the same team and ready to take on our opponent - brain cancer. This is so much more important than a win or a loss.
“The momentum that keeps building, thanks largely to this round, is a game changer. We are setting the foundations for a better future and giving hope to brain cancer patients and families. We can’t do this alone, and our focus is expanding our national and international research partnerships to fast track a solution.
“On the field it’s a competition but when it comes to curing brain cancer, it’s all about collaboration. By purchasing a beanie, you are part of the movement and we are so grateful to the entire rugby league community for being a part of this, as we continue to tackle brain cancer together.”

Nice get in having PM Anthony Albanese at the desk at half time. Talked about the Beanie for Brain Cancer Round, and the “saving” on Leichhardt Oval.
Who’s hosting the NRL while Bracey and Roz are at the swimming?
During the NRL broadcasts, Johnathon Thurston appears in a New Zealand tourism advert with a lady who looks a bit like their former PM, Jacinta Ardern. Is it her?
Couldn’t find a video of it online or get a cap. Hopefully someone knows!
It’s not her.
I wonder if she’ll be the main host while Bracey is in Paris. Her and Peter Psaltis will be doing all the heavy lifting for NRL while everybody is in Paris. Like how Sterlo and Vossy did in 2012.
I think Danika Mason will be James Bracey’s fill-in while he is at the Olympics. She’s been a great host and co-host since joining Nine’s coverage.
Peter Psaltis will probably be the main caller, as he still hasn’t ventured put to being an on-screen talent.
Thanks, thats the one.
Thanks @OnAir , I’m guessing you don’t know who she is either, probably just an actor maybe, not a Nine personality either even though she has a WWOS mic in hand.
Yeah I don’t think I’ve ever seen her before.
They probably won’t have expansive pre and post game shows. It’ll just be the match coverage. Wonder if the games will screen on 9GO?
