SEN set for biggest-ever Magic Round
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) will deliver its most comprehensive coverage of the NRL’s Magic Round to date, with an extensive slate of live broadcasts, outside broadcasts and hosted events across Brisbane this week.
Across the five‑day festival of rugby league, SEN will produce 25 live events, including six matches, highlighted by Women’s State of Origin, as well as six hosted events and 12 outside broadcasts from venues right across Brisbane. The coverage underscores SEN’s position as Australia’s leading destination for live rugby league audio.
Underpinning SEN’s Magic Round coverage will be SEN’s live calls of six games across the weekend, starting with the Women’s State of Origin Game 2 on Thursday night, with the call featuring Tasha Gale, Mark Braybrook and Michelle Bishop commencing from 7.30pm.
Preceding Game 2 between the Blues and Maroons will be a special Magic Round Countdown show, airing from 6 to 7.30pm, with Peter Fegan, Tim Mannah and Michelle Bishop.
The Women’s State of Origin clash will precede another five calls live from Suncorp Stadium across the weekend’s action, with all matches available to be heard live via SEN Stadium on the SEN app:

SEN delivers extensive coverage for State of Origin Game 1
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) is once again going all-in for the 2026 State of Origin series, delivering fans an unmatched listening experience with three unique live calls of Game 1, all airing from 7pm this Wednesday, May 27 right across SEN*.
Game 1 will be broadcast live from Accor Stadium in Sydney, as the Queensland Maroons kick off their title defence in enemy territory.

Andrew Moore said during his State of Origin commentary he received texts from listeners that ABC Radio had gone to the news in the closing stages of tonight’s opening game.
I was listening to the call on ABC Listen app so there was no issue.

Wednesday’s State of Origin game 2 at the MCG will be broadcast on Triple M in Melbourne and regional Victoria, Hobart, Adelaide, Mount Gambier, Perth and regional WA, in addition to NSW and Queensland stations.
However, the ABC’s coverage will only be broadcast on analogue stations in NSW, ACT, Queensland, WA, VIC and NT. ABC Listen and online are the places to go for fans living in other regions.

For SEN, NSW will have Blues Radio and Queensland will get Maroons Radio, while other states will get the NRL Nation commentary.

It’s also scheduled to air in WA (joining for kick-off at 8pm AEST). Presenter David Astle mentioned it will be across VIC on analogue, with his Evenings program only on Digital tonight.

This October, Triple M will become the home of the Rugby League World Cup, bringing fans every major match from the tournament. The action kicks off with Australia taking on New Zealand at Allianz Stadium on Thursday, 15 October, leading through to both the women’s and men’s finals at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, 15 November. Commentary teams will be announced closer to the tournament.
