Marty’s replacement will be announced on the show today after 5pm.
It’s Joel Creasey. He begins Monday September 14.
Joel
Joel Creasey as first suspected.
Terrible choice, I love KTM, listen to every podcast but he’s not for me.
Due to start in mid-September
So the earlier media reports were correct then.
Agreed. Not feeling it.
Neither is Twitter by the looks. It was an impossible choice though, is there anyone they possibly could have chosen that would have kept the KTM vibe?
But you’re always going to have the trolls come out from under their bridges.
When Joel’s name was first mentioned as a replacement I wasn’t sure because he is very different to Marty and maybe very similar to Kate and Tim. From his chat this afternoon, I’m thinking he could fill the shoes of being the more critical member of the team, just in a different way. It’ll be interesting to hear how the new dynamic operates.
SCA says they’ve talked to Marty Sheargold. “We talk to everyone” Grant Blackley told Mediaweek.
Cheeky monkey.
Joel Creasey told the Herald Sun he got a surprise phone call from Nova a few months ago asking if he was interested in joining the drive show, and he didn’t take long to accept the offer, although he had to keep it a secret for quite a while. The article says Creasey can’t travel due to stage four lockdown in Melbourne, but he plans to get to Sydney to be in the studio with Kate and Tim as often as possible.

Not a great choice for me either. He is really annoying.
He’s just not that funny, very shrill is known for not writing a lot of his own standup and so one dimensional. I tip they are deliberately trying to shed some male listeners and going for more of a female audience like Carrie and Tommy.
Nobody would deliberately be trying to shed any listeners but they would always be trying to attract listeners from the opposition.
Well repositioning to a different audience then, more women.
