Kate Ritchie has been away from Kate, Tim and Marty for a number of weeks now. Hopefully she’s okay.

She’s been off last week and this, both originally weeks they were supposed to be off. She probably just didn’t want to come in on the break or had home requirements.

Its school holidays in New South Wales so might have chosen not to work now. I assume those that are working now have decided they’d rather be at work since there’s not much they can do now that sit at home. They also might have negotiated to take these holidays at later time, when they can enjoy them.

Exactly, I assume that’s why some teams have been fine to work now, knowing they couldn’t go away on trips anyway.

Yeah she’s got a young child so I imagine that would be difficult at the moment.

Sorry, I thought it had been 3/4 weeks.

Chrissie, Sam and Browny on Nova 100 are taking this week off.

That’s strange. Fitzy and Wippa are back in their 6-9am shift this week. Fitzy and Tom Ivey have been back in the studio since last week. Wippa, Sarah and Matt De Groot still working from home.

From what I understand you’re only allowed two per studio, at least based on KTM.

It helps that Marty is based in Melbourne, means they avoid much of the awkwardness that comes with studio teams broadcasting remotely for the first time

Which explains why Chrissie, Sam and Browny are continuing their break this week.

Buzz, former Carrie & Tommy anchor and from hit105 Brisbane is now at Nova (has been for a little while now) and filling in for Smallzy tonight. I believe he left as he relocated back to Brisbane from Melbourne.

Who has taken his position at Carrie & Tommy? And why did he leave?

Jesse Watkins (Jesse and Juelz) from Hit WA, and I believe Buzz left as he is originally from Brisbane and was getting married or something.

He’s originally from the Central Coast of NSW. Worked at Sea FM, now Hit. Then moved to Hit Brisbane, then The Fox Melbourne and has since returned to Brisbane.

Nova 96.9 has brought back Throwback Thursday with a vengeance. Today they are ONLY playing Throwbacks and no Fresh Hits. Another step towards becoming just a Classic Hits station. :-1:

KIIS 1065 would be laughing at this. They’ve got the hit music station genre to themselves really.

It’s just too much, They already skew older for Feel Good Friday.
Maybe they don’t think they can compete head on with Kiis playing new music only.

Throwback Thursday on Nova. Wow.

In 2014 the fight began when KIIS, Nova and 2DayFM started battling it out to be the station you tuned to hear the hot hits being smashed out one after the other.

Six years later we have a winner - the new boy on the block that started the CHR war - KIIS.

Nova stopped sounding different a long time ago. This morning they sound like 2DayFM.

They are worse. 2DayFM has more Fresh Hits than Nova now.

RIP Nova.

I’ve said it 100 times in the past. Nova means “new”. Sound fresh. Be fresh. Make the other stations sound daggy.

They’re trying to be the 2DayFM when it was “hits & old school”. That ship has sailed and it’s old now.

Just play hit music and don’t refer to it as “new & old”.

Can somebody please resurrect the Nova “Sounds Different” format?
