Sarah Abo filled in for Chrissie Swan Wednesday to Friday.
Chrissie wasn’t in the studio but she recorded a warmhearted message which was played near the end of the show. There was a hint in her message about what he is doing next when she said that he brings joy and delight to everyone wherever he will be, whether it’s at “Channel Nine, Nova or France-Soir”.
Sam Pang was a surprise guest in the studio for his farewell. Also recorded messages were played from Nova workmates Rikki-Lee & Tim, Joel Creasey, Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald, Jase, Lauren & Clint and Mel Tracina.
The chats have actually been very popular with listeners. They recently mentioned that they had received a record number of calls from listeners when behavioural paediatrician Dr. Billy Garvey had previously been on the show. The chats are relevant to their listeners, who are parents struggling to deal with modern dilemmas affecting their children.
Yes. Mitch and Nikki filled in today. Fitzy, Wippa and Kate are reposting some old podcasts while the’yre away. Today they have posted four old podcasts including their extended chat with Parenting Specialist Maggie Dent.
Some of the podcasts posted are extended chats with guests and they only play highlights of these on the Drive show. They also post some “exclusive podcasts” with content that is never on the show.
This is going to be the issue with radio going forward. The talent are all around 50 years old. There is no connection with younger people and this will be a self fulfilling prophecy of young people not listening.
Jase, Lauren and Clint will be broadcasting live from The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill at Bridge Road, Richmond tomorrow (Thursday) for the AFL Grand Final special. The premiership cup will be on display.
Mel just came on mid-song (Untouched by The Veronica’s) and started talking and introducing the next song. The previous song didn’t finish. It just stopped and she started talking.
Something must br wrong in the dtudio. When I was listening earlier there was some dead air for a while and then Mrl started talking and she was quite flustered when she brgan speaking.
