Pearl Energy petrol station at Hexham (near Newcastle) has speakers blasting out Nova 969
I heard a Nova100 traffic report in a pie shop once in Perth, they seemed to have no idea they were listening to the wrong market lol
Does anyone know whatâs happening in regards to Nova 93.7âs Breakfast Show? If you look on the nova website it shows Ross doing the 6-10am slot from Monday Jan 19 (as shown below)
There has also been zero mention of a breakfast show returning on Jan 19 both on socials and On Air. Just wondering what is happening as they havenât advertised anything.
This was posted on their Instagram account on New Yearâs Eve, so unless something has happened between then and now. https://www.instagram.com/p/DS6aMBmEpgA/
They said on the final 2025 show âSchoolâs out for us now until Januaryâ, so in light of this (could also just be rogue oversight in editing), I take it as they will return in Jan 26 at the earliest.
The Instagram/Facebook post was the only source I could find stating that they would return in 2026. I just find it weird that:
- The post doesnât mention a start date, only states that they will be back in 2026 at some stage
- No on-air promotion of the show coming back, even if it is at a later stage (Jan 26 as mentioned above)
- No promotion on their social media account (despite the new years eve post) that mention what date theyâll be returning
All other Nova accounts (eg. Nova 919, Nova 100, etc.) have had ads on their accounts stating that the breakfast shows will be returning Jan 19, Iâm just surprised that Nova937 has jumped on board to at least confirm in 2026 that Nathan, Nat & Shaun are returning to the airwaves soon.
If youâre not promoting the absolute shite out of your brekky show with only (10?) days to go, then something is amiss.
Nathan, Nat and Shaun are largely untouchable here in Perth but I do agree, itâs super strange. I doubt KIIS will even make a dent in Novaâs share but I donât get why Nova arenât promoting the return of NN&S with a new CHR entering the market, even if itâs only on DAB
Itâs also quite interesting considering how much of last year Nathan was off air..
Nick, Luttsy and Suzie will air from 5am-9am according to the schedules page on the Nova website.
Likely a time zone error
Jodie & Hayesy will return to Nova 919 Adelaide for 2026 on the other side of the next long weekend. Cale Porter says that you can ignore the marketing email that said that they would be back today:
You can also ignore the Nova Player notification I received this morning, which also has the wrong timeslot (AFAIK itâs 6-10?):
Perthâs Nova breakfast team back today for the first time in 2026.Still no Nathan, who hasnât been on air since June25â![]()
Nova 100âs Jase & Lauren go global with colossal Californian adventure

Nova 100 Melbourne Breakfast hosts Jase Hawkins, Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway are taking Jase & Lauren global, broadcasting from California as part of an on-air promotion with Visit California and Qantas, giving listeners the chance to win the ultimate California getaway.
Thatâs their first international broadcast show. Thatâs a good get from NOVA 100
They may as well rename the show Nat & Shaun with Joel or Ross.
A post was merged into an existing topic: Five AA Adelaide
When he did briefly return in June last year, it was noted it was some kind of legal matter, without any further details.
Iâm thinking heâs been assigned duty duty and the case has been unfortunately long or he has been dealing with a personal legal matter that for some reason limits his ability to broadcast or would potentially impact any ongoing case.
If it was dury duty youâd assume they could get exceptions or not have assigned him to such a long case but I donât think thatâs how it works.
Perth Brekky returned randomly this week but as others noted there was very little promotion if any in the lead up. Seems a bit like they are also unsure when Nathan will be able to return at the moment.
Any lack of transparency with your P1 listeners is only a bad thing.

Sources suggest that cost-cutting is behind the current plan, which is being considered as a network-wide national realignment
Really not surprised to see this sentence.
