I suppose it’s like when K&J were let go from SCA and then rated higher than their 2DayFM days on KIIS106.5.
Considering in the space of one year they went from axed to Melbourne’s #1 FM breakfast show, I’m sure a one minute thank you at the end of their show is warranted.

Exactly - it’s not like they threw a big party or anything - I’m sure the listener’s wouldn’t of minded it either. In fact, they may appreciate that the hosts appreciate their support. It’s Radio Today who are choosing to make it a big deal with the article.

Nothing wrong with Jase and Lauren acknowledging the roller coaster of the past year and thanking their listeners. Also nothing wrong with an industry publication reporting on it.
The only problem here is the K&J fanboy constantly getting salty about anything that suggests K&J are anything other than gods.

Nikki Osborne announced as new co-host of Nova 106.9 Breakfast
It was announced today that Nikki Osborne will be joining the Nova 106.9 Brisbane breakfast team as part of the brand new Ash, Luttsy & Nikki Osborne show, launching in 2025.
A popular Australian comedian, television presenter, actor and writer, Nikki will join long-standing Nova Brisbane breakfast announcers Ash Bradnam and David “Luttsy” Lutteral in the breakfast chair from Monday, January 20.
Said Nikki on her new role, “I have big flippers to fill but I’m confident Brisbane will warm to my ways. Sure, I get in trouble a bit, but I’ve got two big brothers in Ash and Luttsy and I have no doubt they’ll steer me even further off course! I love Brisbane. I grew up here and I look forward to having a good laugh with our listeners in this amazing city.”

In a new contract, O’Neill will remain within the Nova Entertainment family, working on shows across the Nova Network as a guest presenter for both breakfast and national shows next year.
O’Neill will also join the Nova Podcast Network, working alongside the podcast team to develop unique content for Nova’s 2025 podcast slate.
The final breakfast show from Susie with Ash and Lutty was broadcast this morning. It featured audio messages from a who’s who of Brisbane wishing the swimmer-turned-broadcaster all the best about what comes next.
The final 2024 show was an outside broadcast and one lucky Nova listener won a new car.
O’Neill is finishing a day early before the end of the 2024 survey year because she has a swimming event tonight in Sydney.
