Ali Clarke on the ABC was number 1 for most of 2020 and 2021, Stacey Lee and Nikolai Beilharz continued that streak before losing to David Penberthy and Will Goodings on FiveAA. Ben & Liam were the number 1 FM breakfast for part of 2022, before being overtaken by Triple M. Prior 2021 Mix 102.3 mainly held that title. Ben & Liam also lead the 25-39 age demo at some points, which probably was one of the reason’s national management moved them to Melbourne.

What are you disagreeing with? They were removed so clearly they weren’t workable or they’d still be there.
It took quite a while for Fitzy and Wippa to connect with Kate Ritchie but I have to say that in the last few months that show has really come a long and it is really firing on all cylinders now.
Ben and Liam were tried out at breakfast in summer a few years back and they struggled to make an impact on audiences. I would say Smallzy has had a better run in summer than any other fill-in show. They would need to match him with someone good though.

Who knows? No one would know that.
It doesn’t matter though. Fact is another show became available and Nova made a change as soon as they could. If Nova were happy with Ben and Liam they would still be there and Jase and Lauren would be without a job.
Correct, Lauren was in Fiji in September filming a segment for season 4 of Helloworld TV show, which airs today (see Nine Network schedule thread).
Ricki-Lee will perform at Flemington Racecourse before the Melbourne Cup race tomorrow afternoon, so it will be interesting to see if she will front up to the drive show which starts at 4pm.
Being a public holiday in Melbourne, will the show even be on?
They only take national public holidays off. They don’t take time off when it’s a regional one.

That’s the feedback I’ve also received from a couple of friends and colleagues who have worked with them. All round lovely guys.
“Nice” and “fun” are also words I’d use to describe their show. No particular highs, but no troughs either. Advertiser friendly show that’s content with pulling a 6% to 7% share. I’ll sometimes flick over or download the podcast if there’s an interesting guest, but it’s never had that element of being unmissable.

Ricki-Lee is hosting today’s drive show with Joel Creasey at Nova 100 studios in Melbourne, she said she travelled from Flemington Racecourse after the main race to the studio. Tim Blackwell remains in Sydney.

Joel Creasey co-hosted the World Premiere of the movie Wicked at the State Theatre on Sunday. Joel was late arriving to the show on Monday because he also did an interview with the stars of the movie Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, which was played on the show.
Rikki-Lee said on the show that she was invited to sing with Ronan Keating at the Melbourne Cup because he and his wife were fans of hers.

Heard the song “Incapable” by Becca Hatch on the Nova Network (about 9:30pm) this evening.
Hatch was unveiled as one of the singers when Coldplay performed “We Pray” at their Wednesday and Thursday night concerts at Accor Stadium in Sydney as part of their ongoing “Music of the Spheres” World Tour.
She also opened for British singer Mahalia during her IRL Tour earlier this year.
