Nova Network

its the perfect way to distract the media and ensure K&J don’t get all the publicity in the lead-up to their launch. Every article written about K&J would also mention Lauren and Jase.

When has this ever happened during Nova 100 breakfast? Before Ben, Liam and Belle when did Nova 100 have a breakfast show when everyone was under 35-40?

Not that you have to be under 35-40 to be cool.

The current and upcoming Nova 100 breakfast teams met at last night’s Red Room event at The Espy in St Kilda.

The jingles used at Nova, are they done by ReelWorld? ReelWorld seems to do all the CHR stations and did the CapitalFM ones.

ReelWorld did the 2020 package or was it possible 2018. Been passed around a few agencies since then.

Nova has used On The Sly and ReelWorld in the past.

I find all the jingles really sound much the same today…

Between the “No-vaaa”, “This is Starrrr” (Star104.5 Central Coast), and the Hit Network jingles, it’s a little difficult to hear any originality with FM jingles at present.

IMO the concept is a bit dated. Although, I do enjoy a good integrated song intro (usually played for new music on FM radio).

The last package was Pure Jingles from memory

Novas branding and jingles have been kinda boring for awhile now. Doesn’t make me want to slap a nova bumper sticker on the car.

Reelworld did the 2017-2018 package and PureJingles did the 2019-2021 package. Nova update every two years usually

Very impressive. I wish the station actually sounded as hot as that production.

I do notice it references, “Love music. Nova.”

Is this their new positioner? It’s actually quite a good one, rather than, “Fresh hits & throwbacks”.

Didn’t they use love Music Nova, back between Sounds Different and Fresh Hits?

Yes, they did, back in 2011.

Nova was “Love Music” and Triple J was “We Love Music” :joy:

That’s so cringe

All of Nova is cringe now.

I agree - its throwbacks are now just over the top IMO. Songs that haven’t been played for ages and even those dating back to the 90s are now infiltrating its playlist.

And when they do play the new stuff, it’s by the big artists (namely Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Pink and Olivia Rodrigo to name a few).

Throw in the odd song by Ava Max and Bebe Rexha too…
