Very bizarre, two different breakfast shows between 6-9am. I can’t see how that is going to work.

I wonder if Nova will swap the best of F&W with B&L nationally at 6pm to free up workdays for more music?

It’ll be interesting to see how they go in Melbourne. This city tends to favour it’s own homegrown talent.

I suspect its because whoever Nova Adelaide have lined up which is most likely Jodie Oddy is reluctant because of the early starts again. An hour isn’t much but I guess it all counts that time of the morning.

I agree, what you are hearing now is their Australian music filler, without this they would fall short of their Australian music quota.
A lot of these songs are much better than the regular playlist on Nova.
If they incorporated some of these songs into the regular playlist on Nova the music would be less repetitive, and then on Friday and Saturday nights they could have special dance music shows allowing Nova to better compete with KIIS.
I am currently streaming BBC Radio 1 and their daytime playlist is really good, just like how the original Nova sounded.

This is exactly what I’ve been saying for ages. The Aussie tracks deserve to be played throughout the day and would improve their playlist.
I hear this music on Coles radio, at the gym or a few eateries Ive been in lately. Its so much better. Why does Australian radio dislike playing Aussie music that you can hear at so many other places.

I’ve said the same thing on the MMM page, but when you walk past a building site these days, rather than the stereotypical male tradie listening to the M’s, or even Nova, a lot of the time now they’re listening to Dance Hits, or here in SA to Fresh FM, who are playing the music they’re listening to when they’re out.
I’ve tried listening to Nova but the repetition gets to me pretty quickly, and its not even new stuff they’re repeating. If they added that Dom Dolla song for example (which I love), its been out at least six months already

Totally agree, I find all the receivable stations around Sydney with the exception of Eagle fm hard to listen to for any great time.
For me, on the Weekends during the day I listen to the Capital Weekender, and the rest of the time it is BBC Radio 1
I only listen to Nova in the work trucks as they don’t have Apple Car play, or Bluetooth audio.

Worse than that. They have a short list of Throwbacks that areplayed to death every week. So many if them are rubbish too which nobody ever asked to br brought back.

Todays Nova Boy Jamz, Halloween addition was probably the best one I have heard, couple of songs that don’t normally get played on Nova, Zombie by the Cranberries, and Creep by TLC, great to hear a song other then Waterfalls.
