It looks like they have programmed it to each markets favourite era of throwbacks.
TBH Nova 10’s is to close to the playlist of Nova 969 to be worth listening to.
Bring back Novanation. or Nova Sounds Different as a dab+ station.
The first thing that came to mind when I saw that Nova 10s is the new Sydney DAB+ station:
“Maybe this would be an OK idea in 5-10 years from now, but isn’t December 2020 a bit early to launch a station dedicated to music from a decade which has only just finished?”
Nothing. Only Nova 937, Smooth FM and Coles Radio still. They do run Nova and Smooth at 48kbps, and Coles at 32kbps, probably no room for another station.
All stations available to stream on the Nova app, which I’m guessing was the main point?
Only room for one station in each city, but direct listeners as well to stream where they can choose. Its good they’ve got the Throwback station for a bit of everything
Listened to Nova Perth for about an hour, lots of mentions of now being Perth’s only hit music station. Ross was welcoming new listeners switching over from 92.9 and handing out cash.
Throughout that whole hour, there was not one mention of the 937 frequency which I thought was interesting
