I think in Tasmania, if WIN is a TEN affiliate, they may do their own 5pm hour long state based bulletin.
I can’t see WIN airing the TEN Melbourne 5pm bulletin followed by Tasmanian news at 6pm.

Will be interesting to see WINs on air graphics in a couple of weeks after the swap, we know what Nines will be like but will be interesting as I’m wondering if we will see on the watermarks a 7 queensland type 9Ballarat etc
I don’t. Perhaps a different schedule in Tasmania with FF on WIN at 5.30 or something.
My prediction for WIN Tasmania:
exactly the same as everywhere else. Like I predicted also.
especially the signpost when they say whats coming up and the Ident as well

Just makes no sense to me and would be giving SC an even easier time at 6pm and beyond. If they did decide to differ from the other regions schedule and not run with Ten News at 5, It would be interesting to see what else they would be airing instead.
But what would they air at 5pm then? I reckon they will just be consistent across their regions and air Ten News, WIN News then The Project.
Anyone experiencing issues on Go! in their area? Local commercial breaks are beginning half way through the first dirty promo and overlapping the program right up to the PRG!
If Tasmania’s WIN News was to run for 30 minutes at 6pm after Ten Eyewitness News: First At Five Melbourne and focus only on local news, it might be a decent point of difference to the competition.
Of course a local content-focused WIN News at 6pm most likely won’t beat Southern Cross News in the ratings (in the immediate future anyway) but surely it’s worth a try?
I was thinking they could go strictly local news content at 6pm (with special feature stories - like they did many years ago with ‘Six O’clock’ and the split local/national WIN News bulletins) and just leave the national/international news to Ten at 5pm. No quick fix of course, but with time and with a heavy promotional campaign behind it they might see some improvement with time.
Or another idea could be for Tasmania to completely differ (something Moe has been mentioning in another thread) from the other regions and for FF to air at 5pm (instead of 5.30pm as he was suggesting) with a spilt national/international bulletin at 5.30pm, followed by a state focused local bulletin (with special feature stories included) at 6pm.
someone might need to tell WIN that its not V8 Supercars anymore. Its Virgin Australian Supercars Championship
Yeah WIN forget that 140 character limit in Twitter
Family Feud at 5pm
WIN News local 5.30pm - 6.30pm (no split)
The Project at 6.30pm
Happy for people to discuss what Win’s options are, but let’s be careful not to veer off into mock schedules - we have another thread for that.
I recognise that it’s a fine line.
WIN advertising more “NEW” programming tweets.
Is the channel name still undecided/ unannounced? All promos to date (for shows that will only air on channel 8) only indicate the shows are on the WIN Network, no stand-alone promotion for the channel WIN itself.
No doubt they have plans to keep the channel 8 WIN name, but it will be interesting to see if they tie the Ten name into it on launch day.
WIN likes to call itself a network to sound like the big boys.
It a a network of stations, but it’s a network that sources 23 hours a day of programming from a real network.
When you depend on a network to provide 99% of your programming, you’re not really a network.
It will be called WIN - they just like to say network as it makes them sound bigger, as they feel small right now as they are going from nine to ten
That’s great tweeting text to 3900 followers and all.
Shouldn’t Australia’s largest self proclaimed network have a Facebook page with a few hundred thousand followers they could be posting actual promos with VIDEO to!
I used to follow the facebook few years back but disappeared
