Saw a Digital Billboard in Townsville today advertising WIN as a major sponsor of this weekend’s Townsville V8 Supercars event.
It also said to watch WIN News at 6pm for the daily code word to enter a VIP V8 Supercars competition.
Great to see them embracing a local event that they’re now the local broadcaster of!

probably not so much because it’s on “Ten”, because it’s on the same channel (WIN) it always was, but I think now it’s back at 6.00 it’s competing with the national news bulletins from Seven and Nine and has the earlier Ten Eyewitness News as its lead-in, rather than the better rating Nine News. And in the cases of markets like Albury it’s also competing with Prime Local News… I think that will be the bigger challenge.

I’m not happy with 9life being taken off the air. I really loved it. We didn’t even have it very long. I’m all for change but you shouldn’t have moved things around before securing the rights or at least knowing a time line. Now most of win is just the same stuff but on different numbered channels. Yes you now have have tdt etc but we already had that. Australia was finally getting a decent amount of different types of tv on and now in my opinion we have gone backwards

Hi can you please tell me where the channel that had been showing shows, such as tiny houses, house hunters, and other such shows has gone to? We used to have as channel 84, but today its just some some silly ads on it! I found this channel was one of the better channels, but now… its gone!!! Im sure Im not the only person who watched it!

Sorry, but I am so disappointed that I now have to choose whether to watch Nine News on Channel 5, or WIN news on Channel 8. There is no hope of me watching news at 5pm.
I really looked forward to 6pm every night, but I think Peter on 5 will now win me and I will have to rely on my local paper for local news.

Thanks for the Backward Step in News. I used to watch the 6pm News and then the 7pm local news, but now that the news is on at 5pm, whilst a lot of people are still working, I now have gone over to Nine to watch the 6pm News then current affair, and no longer can watch the local news. A totally Backward step with no consideration to the working viewers. Even the 7pm ABC has its merrits.

I am writing to say that I dont see/understand WHY channel 9 and 10 changed over - with Win we have lost a lot of shows now - like channel LIFE (in Horsham. Vic) and how many times are we going to watch replays of LOVE CHILD - what happened to Extra intertainment program??? - just news news - how much repeats can one watch of the news - to me I dont SEE why the switch - just to confuse us - is all I can see - my channel 50 (formally owed by ten - I have NO voice on it) why the switch - when you turn to the channel - you have a (ten) but it shows win - not happy viewer
Used to watch national nine news at 6pm and win news at 7pm. Now both on at 6pm. Feeling ripped off
I always enjoy watching WIN Canberra news it lets me know what’s happening in my local area. But now it’s at 6pm that’s good I guess for most people but I am disappointed because it is too early for me:( l guess I’ll just have to read the local paper now.
Not happy about the programme changes. Poorly managed and communicated.
Hating the fact that I miss the local news now and have the ridiculous “Current Affair” instead … bring it back local news to the 7pm time slot please

We lost LIFE channel after last Friday’s, 1 July 2016 amalmagation with channel Ten. Bring it back LIFE CHANNEL 84
Griffith lost LIFE CHANNEL after the change last Friday 1st July. Missing some good shows on it.
If Win is now taking 5 which was ch 10 stuff, are they gunna stuff this channel up with the new format signal like they did to the new channel 83, it won’t really be free TV if everybody has to buy a new TV just to watch what will probably still be the same load of rubbish? A decent explanation would be nice thanx!

I am very disappointed in the agreement between WIN and Channel ten. Have just up woken to discover that there isn’t the Today show on. After nearly 40 years of watching this show, I am very annoyed to lose it. The loss of some of these shows is ridiculous.

Wow, I can’t believe people actually wanted to watch the All Australian News enough to complain about it not being on at midday.
WIN really need to do something about the people who wanted to watch WIN News at 7. Put Ten News at 6pm and WIN News at 7 on One or something. At least give people the option.

I’m pretty sure if Ten and Nine Sydney swapped channels one morning and Ten was on channel LCN 9 and Nine was on LCN 10…
Plus 11, One, Go, Gem, Life all swapped too…
Pretty sure Sydneysiders will be well and truly confused too

Yeah it makes sense. Losing family feud and Mash on One isn’t that bad. New FF and Neighbours is on 11.

I don’t understand why TEN don’t just give them a completely clean primo to insert their own logo rather than the coverup one. I’ve mentioned this before but it still strikes me odd that they do this yet can insert their regular WIN HD logo on the end board.
