THE BLOCK

In 2027, Australia’s biggest renovation show, The Block is taking on the most ambitious project in the show’s history. Its 23rd season sees contestants tackle epic heritage restorations after two years of new builds.

Channel 9 has acquired three grand heritage buildings from the Victorian Government, kickstarting a new future for Jacksons Hill in Sunbury, Victoria.

The historic site boasts some of the state’s oldest and most magnificent heritage architecture. The buildings were constructed 170 years ago in gold rush times as an industrial school, becoming a psychiatric hospital and most recently, a university campus.

Just 40 minutes northwest of Melbourne’s CBD, Sunbury is a historic community that captures a “little bit city, a little bit country” feel. Picturesque rolling hills, vineyards and its legacy as the birthplace of The Ashes give the area a distinct township charm.

Returning to co-host, Scott Cam and Shelley Craft will challenge five new teams to preserve and revitalise these landmark buildings while transforming them into The Block’s signature high-quality and aspirational family homes.

The Block: The House Next Door, premiering in 2027 on Stan will give Blockheads plenty to talk about when fan-favourite all-stars tackle a sixth renovation over the fence.

The Block is a Nine production in conjunction with Cavalier Television.

THE GOLDEN BACHELOR

After capturing the heart of the nation and redefining prime-time romance in 2025, the television event that proves love only gets better with age returns to the 9Network - bigger, bolder and with double the romance.

In a major new twist, The Golden Bachelor Australia will feature two very different Golden Bachelors, each bringing their own story, personality and approach to love as they embark on an extraordinary journey to find their second chance at forever.

And this time, the power of choice is in the women’s hands. As they get to know two men who couldn’t be more different, our remarkable group of vibrant Australian women will have the opportunity to follow their hearts, choose their own path and decide which Golden Bachelor could be the one for them.

Beloved host Samantha Armytage returns to guide them through the journey as new connections form, loyalties shift and the women take control of their romantic destinies.

With double the romance, twice the heartbreak, unexpected twists and plenty of unforgettable golden moments, Season 2 promises more emotion, more drama and two very different journeys to love.

The Golden Bachelor Australia is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia for the 9Network.

THE FLOOR

Get ready for round 3! The Floor is back in 2027, with another 81 contestants ready to put their knowledge, nerve and strategy to the ultimate test.

Host Rodger Corser returns as a new class of Australia’s sharpest minds step onto The Floor, all fighting for territory and the chance to take home the ultimate prize of $200,000.

Among this year’s 81 contestants are some familiar faces ready to swap their usual stomping grounds for The Floor, including comedian Peter Helliar, The Golden Bachelor’s Kim Morgan-Short, Olympic champion Kerri Pottharst, and Love Island’s Jess Losurdo.

The rules are simple, but surviving is anything but. Each contestant begins with a single tile and their own area of expertise, before challenging their neighbours to high-stakes trivia duels. Win and you take their territory. Lose and your game is over. As The Floor grows smaller, the pressure builds, alliances are tested and every decision could be the difference between going home and taking control.

With brand-new contestants, fresh categories and unexpected twists, Season 3 takes the competition to another level as players battle to outsmart, outplay and outlast each other.

Now firmly established as one of Australia’s most exciting family game shows, The Floor delivers edge-of-your-seat competition and addictive play-along trivia. But with only one contestant able to conquer it all, who will be left standing?

Whether they’re sipping champagne in first class or haggling in a village market, tasting questionable street food or trying adrenaline sports, our Guides navigate the globe with clashing sensibilities proving once again, one traveller’s five-star paradise can be another another’s horror show.

With narration from beloved Aussie comedian and actress Denise Scott, Travel Guides is produced by the 9Network.

LIGHT: THE IAN ROBERTS STORY

A groundbreaking new documentary, LIGHT: The Ian Roberts Story, delivers an unvarnished, boots and all account of one of the most transformative figures in Australian sporting history.

Widely considered one of the most feared and revered forwards to ever step onto a rugby league field, Ian Roberts played with relenting, bone-rattling intensity. And in 1995, at the peak of his career, Roberts made a decision that sent shockwaves through the code, the nation and the international sporting community. He publicly announced that he was gay, becoming the first elite male athlete in a major contact sport to come out while still playing.

LIGHT: The Ian Roberts Story dives into the personal turmoil, off-field battles and immense bravery he required to break the silence in a deeply traditional sporting culture. Through raw interviews, archival match footage and personal accounts, the documentary explores the heavy toll his revelation took on his life and career, alongside the enduring legacy of hope and visibility he created for generations to come.

LIGHT: The Ian Roberts Story distributed by Bonsai Films for the 9Network.

NAKED CITY

There are five million stories in the Naked City. This, is one of them.

Helmed by veteran crime journalist at The Age, John Silvester, this three part series cuts through mob mythology to expose the unvarnished reality of contract hits, street executions and the tangled, deadly nest in which Australia’s crime families slither.

Beyond the trigger men, the series turns its lens on the devastating fallout; giving voice to the victims and grieving families whilst police and key insiders break their silence to reveal the profound human toll from the country’s most heinous crimes.

Naked City: THE SNAKE PIT delivers the underworld stripped of its glamour: raw, unflinching, and told directly by those who survived the bite.

Naked City: THE SNAKE PIT is directed and produced by Michael Venables ADG & Graham Watson & edited by Billy Steele & Duncan Balmain with JAM TV for the 9Network.

Unveiled at an immersive showcase inside The Cutaway at Barangaroo, Nine’s unified ‘Sofa to Street’ Go-To-Market strategy connects premium Streaming, Broadcast, Publishing & Out of Home under a single commercial engine.

Following an immersive spectacle brought to life inside the subterranean expanse of The Cutaway at Barangaroo, Nine Entertainment (Nine) has showcased its new “Sofa to Street” cross-platform proposition designed to shape culture, move audiences at scale and accelerate commercial growth to Australian advertisers.

Key announcements include:

- Nine turns Today into digital commerce engine with the Australian-first launch of

Shop Today

- Stan announces a new era of Australian stories and world-class global content.

- Nine unveils Publishing ecosystem strategy, extending into live experiences and category specific partnerships

- QMS launches retail out of home network, ‘Shop’

- Nine supercharges ‘Sofa to Street’ with NineNeo trading platform

- Nine secures The Salvation Army’s Carols in the Domain and announces new content on 9Network and 9Now

- Nine unveils its 2027 sports slate and cross-platform commercial ecosystem

The transformation establishes Nine as the only Australian-owned, fully integrated media network. Connecting Streaming, Broadcast, Publishing, and Outdoor assets under a single commercial engine. The new Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy gives brands a frictionless, zero-wastage canvas to reach and influence Australians across their entire daily routine.

Matt Stanton, CEO of Nine Entertainment, said: "When we set about transforming our business we saw a clear opportunity to build a digital-first network that meets audiences wherever they are. A media powerhouse that is a catalyst for progress, a platform for possibility and a partner for growth. This integrated strategy allows us to challenge global Big Tech platforms by delivering unmatched, trusted local scale.

“‘Sofa to Street’ represents a landmark shift in national media capability, but it will also transform how our partners buy media. With up to a third of digital video spend in Australia swallowed up by non-transparent tech fees and complex programmatic supply chains, we believe the industry deserves better transparency and real accountability.

"We are taking a leading role in streamlining the buying ecosystem to strip out unnecessary tech costs and put more of your ad investment straight into working media. Buying directly with Nine gives brands superior ROI across BVOD and SVOD, while directly supporting the local content ecosystem.

Stanton added: “Ultimately, this ensures your investment directly funds the Australian news, sport, and entertainment you see across Nine and will help make Australia a better place to live, work and do business. It’s a cleaner, smarter way to trade that builds a sustainable future for our industry.”

Matt James, Chief Sales Officer of Nine, said: "No one connects culture and commerce like we do. Marketers have spent years stitching together fragmented plans but our proposition eliminates that friction completely. We can now move your customers from the biggest screen in the home, to the screen in their hand, to the journalism they trust, and through the physical environments where they travel, work, shop, and socialise.

"Earlier this year, our acquisition of QMS created the most comprehensive and connected digital media ecosystem in Australia. I’m pleased to announce that from January 2027, QMS Australia officially becomes Nine Outdoor - a national digital outdoor network with more than 2,000 sites across our major cities, fully connected to Nine’s content, data, and audiences.

"That matters because these are 100% Nine-controlled and operated assets. Together, they give us a genuine integrated platform. One door into a world of possibilities that no other

media company in Australia can offer. By 2027, we will operate through a single content delivery system, giving us the power to deliver brand messaging simultaneously across our entire ecosystem: Channel 9, 9Now, Stan, Mobile, Publishing, and Digital Out of Home.

Matthew Turl, CEO at Spark Foundry Australia, said: “As Cancer Council Australia’s media agency, we are incredibly proud to have helped bring together Cancer Council and the Australian Government’s National Bowel Cancer Screening Program with Nine.

“This partnership marks an important moment for the program. By bringing together some of Nine’s most trusted talent and amplifying one clear message across television, digital, publishing and out of home, we are using the full strength of Nine’s network to capture attention and inspire behaviour change at scale, encouraging more Australians to take a simple action that could save their life.

“Nine’s ‘Sofa to Street’ strategy builds on the integrated thinking behind this partnership. By seamlessly connecting its talent, content, channels and data, it creates the opportunity to deliver a cohesive, high-impact narrative that reaches Australians throughout their day and turns attention into action.”

Following tonight’s Upfront, Nine’s Sales teams will take the “Sofa to Street” offering to agencies and key clients across Australia that will further explore the new integrated offering for advertisers to utilise in 2027 and beyond.

NINE SUPERCHARGES ‘SOFA TO STREET’ WITH NINE NEO TRADING PLATFORM

Following the unveiling of its unified ‘Sofa to Street’ Go-To-Market strategy, Nine has detailed a suite of major commercial technology innovations with the official launch of NineNeo - a single, AI-powered cross-platform workspace.

Nine Entertainment (Nine) has officially announced the launch of Nine Neo, a comprehensive commercial and service transformation designed to eliminate legacy friction and consolidate Nine’s entire cross-platform media portfolio into a single, automated national ecosystem.

Extending Nine’s position as the only Australian-owned, fully integrated media network, Nine Neo fast-tracks Nine’s ‘Sofa to Street’ capabilities seamlessly across Streaming, Broadcast, Publishing, and Digital Out of Home.

Nine Neo: The Single Cross-Platform Trading Engine

Launching in Q2, Nine Neo moves Nine towards a fully automated, open, self-service trading environment built for agencies, marketers, and direct clients. The platform merges previously fragmented buying processes into one unified engine, built on four core pillars:

Radically Simpler Planning: Using artificial intelligence, Nine Neo turns a brief into an optimized, bookable media plan in minutes rather than days - balancing audiences, budget, reach, and value.

**Fully Dynamic Trading:** Shifting from separate systems to a single connected environment where inventory, audiences, and investment are optimized dynamically across Nine's entire ecosystem.

**Dramatically Easier Execution:** Delivering one brief, one proposal, and one place to trade. Nine's Total Trading architecture brings Metro and Regional linear TV together under a single order management and traffic solution, extending automated, audience-guaranteed trading across national television.

**Embedded Outcomes Measurement:** Integrating 22 million verified single user IDs directly into the platform to deliver end-to-end measurement from planning and trading to delivery and real-world results.

Matt James, Chief Sales Officer at Nine, said: “Nine is a genuine integration platform, with stories that shape culture, sport that moves people, and the journalism Australians trust. While others are talking about what a connected media ecosystem might look like, we’re already doing it because we own and operate the assets that make it possible.

“One platform, one brief, one buy, less complexity, and outcomes-based trading. With Nine Neo, we’re delivering it. It is an Australian-made platform designed around the way our partners want to trade, stripping out administrative back-and-forth so our teams and yours can focus on the strategic thinking that actually grows your business.”

Precision Targeting from Screens to Streets

To connect Nine’s digital footprint with physical environments, Nine is matching 9Tribes - the benchmark for high-intent audience segmentation - directly into Nine’s digital Out of Home screens.

Nick Young, Executive Director - Advanced Trading & Digital Commercialisation, said: “Over the last few years, we’ve built a single, unified data platform across our publishing portfolio, streaming assets, and 22 million verified users. Now, we’re taking Nine’s capabilities into the real world.

“By matching our high-propensity 9Tribes clusters directly into Nine’s Outdoor screens, advertisers can seamlessly target consumers as they transition from watching content at home to walking down the high street ready to spend. No other media network in Australia can connect screens to streets like Nine, and this is just stage one.”

Honest Outcomes Attribution: Closed-Loop Performance Tracking

Moving past homogenous digital metrics and single-platform silos, Nine has partnered with CommBank iQ to introduce transparent, campaign-level attribution across spend of any size. By combining Nine’s 22 million verified user IDs with transactional data from over 7 million cardholders, Nine tracks real sales uplift, category spend, and share of wallet.

Paired with Azira for footfall traffic, AdGile for web and app visitation, and Brand Metrics, the framework provides validated, closed-loop ROI reporting embedded directly within Nine Neo.

Young added: “Historically, local media owners have reserved quality outcomes reporting for big-budget sponsorships and left impression-level campaign attribution to digital platforms. We’re changing that today.

“Genuine outcomes-based reporting means having honest conversations. Knowing what worked, and more importantly what didn’t, gives brands an immediate competitive advantage. We aren’t asking clients to guess their return on investment; we are proving it.”

Landmark Joint Venture with Seven - Advertisers Set to Reap the Benefits of Greater Transparency

In a direct response to estimates that over $300 million is lost annually in Australia’s $1 billion BVOD market to non-transparent tech fees and programmatic supply chain bloat, Nine and Seven have joined forces to launch a new venture in early 2027.

The Joint Venture buying solution ensures that a greater portion of every ad dollar reaches the screen, while providing advertisers with a clearer, more accurate picture of their true return on investment. By supercharging BVOD and SVOD ROI, the technology solution will establish real accountability, deliver a digital-like trading experience, and safeguard the future of local content production in Australia.

Matt Stanton, Chief Executive Officer at Nine Entertainment, said: “Through our landmark venture with Seven, we are taking direct action to fix the market’s need for greater transparency and effectiveness. By increasing the proportion of spend that reaches inventory, we are driving better commercial results for clients, ensuring real accountability, and safeguarding the future of local media and content production in this country.”

QMS LAUNCHES RETAIL OOH NETWORK, SHOP.

Landmark expansion into retail media extends ‘Sofa to Street to Store’ ecosystem with QMS launching ‘SHOP’.

Announced at the Nine Upfront, Digital Out of Home (DOOH) leader QMS has officially launched SHOP, a powerful new digital network situated at the physical retail threshold of some of Australia’s most trusted stores.

Delivering significant national scale across metro and regional Australia, the SHOP network generates over 16 million weekly impressions across more than 1,300 locations, in two distinct retail environments: the Metcash “LocalEyes” network - featuring 860+ screens across IGA, Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O, Thirsty Camel, Mitre 10, Home Hardware and Total Tools -and The Convenience Network’s 470 screens at the entry to 7-Eleven stores nationally.

SHOP uniquely balances this national footprint with a “local trust halo,” embedding brands into environments characterised by deep community connectedness, high dwell times, and high-frequency, habitual shopping behaviours. With more than 70% of Australians living within three kilometres of a SHOP retailer, the network has an unrivalled proximity. The expansive network coverage not only reaches metro audiences but also extends into more than 400 regional locations in Australia.

For advertisers, SHOP represents the final physical link in the combined Nine “Sofa to Store” journey and connects brands with locals at scale in the exact communities where they live, shop, and spend.

With full-motion enabled screens right at the point of decision making, the network provides endemic brands with the ultimate bridge to convert top-of-funnel campaigns into immediate, in-store sales. Benefiting from the proven dual effect of Digital OOH, the SHOP network is able to influence both short term sales whilst also building long term brand equity for advertisers.

Simultaneously, it offers non-endemic brands a highly cost-effective platform to influence qualified local audiences within trusted, high-frequency everyday environments.

QMS Chief Sales Officer, Tim Murphy, said: “SHOP is the realisation of our ‘Sofa to Store’ ambition. We are taking the power of Digital OOH and placing it right at the store threshold. This presents advertisers with the perfect environment to dominate the critical spring and summer retail periods, including Christmas and New Year, capturing customer attention and share of basket right through to the checkout.”

GM of LocalEyes Retail Media at Metcash, Mark Lollback said: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with QMS on the launch of SHOP. This is a strategically important and genuinely differentiated partnership for Metcash and LocalEyes, combining the scale and media capability of QMS with the trusted, locally connected network of independent retailers across IGA, The Bottle-O, Cellarbrations, Mitre 10 and Total Tools.

“What makes SHOP so compelling is its ability to bring national brands into local communities at scale, connecting with consumers close to the point of purchase in environments they know, trust and visit regularly. For LocalEyes, this is about outcomes, not inventory - using media, data and the power of local retail to create more value for brands, retailers and their communities.”

QMS’ exclusive 2027 commercial packages are designed to capitalise on the audience power and data ecosystem of the wider Nine group, giving brands the unprecedented ability to track, influence and drive conversions seamlessly from the sofa, to the street and directly into store.

Nine Director of Sport (Streaming and Broadcast), Brent Williams, said: “In Australia, sport is a lifelong love affair. It starts on local courts and suburban fields and is passed down through

generations. That raw, human connection is our heartbeat, and it remains one of the most electric forces in the country.

“We’ve built an ecosystem that moves with Australia. Every sport we invest in is designed around community, culture, rituals, and belonging. From securing the Ashes, adding the NBL, extending the NRL, to showcasing the Rugby World Cup on local soil, our 365-day calendar gives fans and advertisers an unrivaled front-row seat in 4K and HD to the moments that capture the attention of the nation.”

Nine’s National Commercial Director - Sport, Andrew Cann, said: “The added power of sport comes when moments travel beyond the whistle. By delivering sport 365 days of the year, we unlock flexible commercial opportunities across all categories and budgets, ensuring advertisers are seamlessly placed in and around the moments that matter, on any platform.

NINE UNVEILS PUBLISHING ECOSYSTEM STRATEGY, EXTENDING INTO LIVE EXPERIENCES AND CATEGORY-SPECIFIC PARTNERSHIPS

Nine has revealed its strategy to extend its Publishing influence beyond the page, connecting brands with Australians through high-value lifestyle ecosystems, live brand experiences, and deep commercial specialisation.

Unveiled at its Upfront showcase at Barangaroo, Nine outlined a model designed to transform active reader engagement across its publishing titles into real-world action. The category-focused strategy connects publishing assets into Nine’s broader group ecosystem, ensuring brand partnerships sit at the centre of an always-on loop amplified across Print, Digital, Video, Social, Newsletters, Broadcast, and Digital Out of Home.

Building on established properties like the AFR Ventures portfolio, the Good Food Guide Awards, and the newly announced Melbourne Assembly, Nine is scaling its footprint across Australia’s biggest passion points: money, business, property, food, travel, and culture.

With the recent appointment of Justine Cullen as Editorial and Strategy Director for Travel, the new offering will commence with Cullen appearing on Nine’s Today, unpacking global trends, spotlighting major print and digital features, and bringing national travel partnerships to life across broadcast, publishing, and digital channels.

Ashleigh Thomas, Commercial Director - Publishing Sales, said: "Australians come to Nine for the headlines they trust, but they stay for the life they build around them. From money and property to food and travel, our mastheads don’t just report on Australian life; they shape it. Now, we are taking that influence further, moving it seamlessly from the stories people read to the real-world experiences they live.

“By pairing our deep editorial leadership with specialised commercial expertise, it’s not just about content, it’s about sitting your brand at the heart of a complete ecosystem, starting with travel. Nine Publishing has extraordinary authority across the things Australians care about most. We’re matching that editorial expertise with deeper commercial specialisation, building dedicated teams that truly understand the categories our partners are trying to grow in and connecting them with the right audiences, content, and experiences.”

Under the new blueprint, Nine is aligning dedicated commercial teams directly to audience passions and key partner growth sectors expanding beyond traditional verticals into Retail, FMCG, Utilities, and Services.

Thomas added: "Travel is a great example of where this model comes together. With Justine Cullen leading Traveller, dedicated commercial expertise, and the ability to extend ideas across the broader Nine ecosystem, we can build partnerships that go well beyond a standard ad placement to connect brands with Australians throughout their entire travel journey.

“You aren’t just placing an ad around our content, you are stepping directly inside the conversations, communities, and experiences that shape Australian culture every single day.”

Nine Publishing’s expanded commercial model and vertical solutions will roll out progressively to agencies and brand partners for 2027 media planning.
