It would be good if 9 revealed the Stan audience too.
Yeah I think they made a misstep not doing that - maybe the AUNZ game.
It’s also egregious to focus solely on Nine and not point out the Stan figures as you say, if you’re a rugby fan in Australia you have Stan.
With the thrashing AUNZ had in Adelaide, probably a good thing it wasn’t aired.
True lol
especially around here
And I doubt RA would have expected it - but they have been hoping that the Lions tour might start to turn the fortunes of the code around in Australia. Reporting like this (and it shouldn’t be a great surprise to see who wrote it) attempts to sensationalise something quite serious.
Tonight’s third match of the Rugby Test has been suspended due to lightning strikes. The game is expected to resume in 30 minutes. I know it’s a dead rubber, but if viewers remain (and not switch over) - there may be higher ratings in prelim numbers for the post match and whatever follows.
Play set to resume at 9:50pm AEST.
Game has now resumed at 9:50pm at the 43rd minute. Expect the game to finish around 10:30 ish. (Depending if there’s no more lightning)
The match finished at 10.38pm.
Coverage finished at 11.38pm. One hour of the “post match” segment. That’s mammoth.
