Nine Sports Broadcasting

He is a fantastic caller. NBC has Michael Phelps for their coverage

Aren’t they calling from a studio?

Good to see use of the old NNL/ACA studio.

Originally thought the commentators were in Japan but seems it if off screens.

Sadly it seems fewer and fewer sporting events are being covered properly (on location) these days

Hopes fading for Nine’s Olympics being on-location in Paris…

The two events aren’t comparable in terms of the amount of resources that would be put in to broadcast it.

Not saying you won’t ultimately be proven right. However, don’t think the way Nine is covering the World Swimming Championships can be used as a solid indicator as to how they’ll cover the Olympics.

Surprised an Olympics logo wasn’t rolled out alongside WWOS but assume there are restrictions on what sporting events it can be used on.

Well, Seven seemed to use it all the time, for months, even a year out, across just about every channel and program… Could just be a choice by Nine.

didn’t know where to post this

Unbelievable scenes last night, Mollie O’Callaghan has broken the world record AND defeated Ariarne Titmus!

Wouldn’t be surprised if more people were watching this final than the FIFA World Cup on Seven, TBH…

Last night the NRLW game went into Golden Point overtime. The game finished in time for the start of the NRL coverage at 7.30pm. In Syd/Bri it was on 9Gem. The NRL started on main channel at 7.30 with Ashes on 9Gem. Had the game gone longer would it have been moved to 9Go or would it continue as part of the NRL coverage?

I assume that refers to the four nations tournament in Melbourne later this month involving Australian Boomers?
