Ariarne has been brilliant on the coverage. Nine have done a fantastic job. Is this a hint and showcasing to the IOC?? If Seven had this event, They would’ve most likely hosted from a studio.

To your first point, the short course swimming championships is nowhere near comparable to an Olympics coverage in any way, shape or form.
As for your second point, no they wouldn’t. Seven had the Swimming Australia rights for a number of years before Amazon Prime took over and their coverage was presented onsite.

Is it Gravity Media who are the host broadcasters of the swimming?
I could see Nine picking up swimming Australia content including Olympic/Commonwealth Games trials which were on the network many years ago.

Wow, old mate (James?) really butchered the pronunciation of Fukuoka as “foo · koo · wo · kah” - a little research might’ve helped there.
Great line up of sports Nine doesn’t have the rights to there.

Swimming is good retention. I’m happy with that especially with the good timezone compared to Europe (heats from 12:30-4pm Aus time and finals 10-12pm
This will make it three major swimming meets on Nine within 12 months. Hopefully they get domestic rights too.
This will be the second time Nine broadcasts the FINA World Championships from the same city (Fukuoka).

Any swimming broadcast on Amazon Prime would be done by NEP.
