No introduction, welcome or commentary on Nine’s coverage.
Nine and SBS with identical vision. Nine taking ad breaks.
Are they both covering the same amount of hours or is SBS showing more?
SBS showing more.
So far, all evidence suggests that there is just one feed coming into Australia for the athletics. Will have to see to night if Nine or SBS have a reporter on the ground in Tokyo able to do post event interviews.
Nine finished 1:09pm
Judging by Nine’s press release, David Culbert will have that role as he’ll be in Tokyo.
Alana Ferguson has made the mad dash from Allianz to Shark Park after doing the Rugby Test earlier today

Wait, hang on, doesn’t 9Life follow 9Go! in Nine’s multichannel hierarchy?
A case of channel-skipping or something else is there too?
I’d think Nine put MXGP on 9Rush as it is a high-octane action and adventure channel, targetting at males 25-54.
I’m sure all the stay-at-home mums would love to have their renovation shows replaced with dirt bike racing ![]()
Probably usurped by Rush now, given they no longer have Discovery operating it.
9Rush is the natural place to put MXGP. The biggest problem is areas where 9Rush is not broadcast in regional Australia.
